| Head of Web Analytics (global) is responsible for the overall delivery of Web Analytics for the 6 geographical territories within the business as well as all Business Units within the company Responsible for definition of web analytics strategy for the group thought leadership of all web analytics teams and mentoring of Lead and Senior analysts in constituent Business Units and Shared Services areas Development of strategy for Web Analytics across all sites and products Alignment of strategy and tactics to other BI strategies in place ensuring the correct cascade of data to relevant departments and teams Proactively identify opportunities to extend the businessrsquos understanding of its products customers and markets using web analytics techniques and data Deliver web analytics commentary insight and forecasts to csuite managers Recommend changes to KPIrsquos (where appropriate) and educate across the business the KPIrsquos in use and what they mean Monitor key web metrics for abnormalities requiring further investigation Look for opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of hibursquos web analytics data tools and systems Investigate and make recommendations on the use new features and tools that become available Ensure that sufficient controls and processes exist to ensure that all web analytics are accurate and reliable engaging with other teams where necessary Lead group of Web Analysts ndash some with direct reporting and others with dotted line authority across Business Units Interact with IT resources on a regular basis regarding site maintenance troubleshooting testing and performance Evangelise Web Analytics and Web Optimisation through Testing and Targeting to broader business Minimum 6+ years in the field of Web Analytics or BI Should have previous experience in a fulltime web analytics role covering large complex websites with line management experience Deep understanding of web analytics metrics and best practices Familiarity with industry comparative datasources such as comScore Nielsen NetRatings HitWise Thorough knowledge of the Adobe SiteCatalyst tool and an understanding of the implementation process and page code Familiarity with tracking usage of mobile applications and using APIs to collect data Familiarity with online businesses terminology and common metrics Some familiarity with web technologies such as HTML Javascript CSS (but you do not need to be a developer) Ability to deal with ambiguity and think laterally about business problems ndash hibursquos business model is unusual and is evolving so mental agility is required Familiarity and wider other Business Intelligence tools and practices would be an advantage Knowledge of the principles of statistical analysis and key statistical concepts (significance variance etc) Degree in a numerateBusiness related subject or equivalent evidence of ability 6+ years experience in Web Analytics function Experience working with industry standard toolsets including Adobe Sitecatalyst and ComScore |
