This responsibility includes all areas of planning to field implementation oversight including constructability design review, material procurement, field implementation planning and scheduling, field cost control / scheduling / reporting, field documentation / drawing completion and turnover, and on-site interface with client groups. The assigned projects may include modification and / or new construction to TAPS systems, equipment and facilities, as well as major repair and / or replacement activities. The Construction Supervisor or Manager acts as the on-site representative for the Alyeska project management team during project field implementation and provides direct oversight of all associated field engineering, procurement and implementation functions. This position is responsible for project safety, environment, quality, cost and schedule during the performance of assigned work. Detailed Accountabilities: Supervise and provide day-to-day oversight of contractors, vendors, and other groups involved in the field implementation efforts to ensure that all phases of the project(s) meet cost, schedule, environment, regulatory, safety, quality, and operational requirements Act as the field representative during execution of multiple major projects / programs from design engineering to final field completion Assist with engineering design efforts to include arranging for engineering site visits, identifying and communicating specific / unique design requirements, and providing constructability design review and comment Implement contracting and material / equipment procurement strategies to optimize cost, schedule, and technical considerations Assist with overall planning and scheduling, and assume direct responsibility for the implementation planning / scheduling of field work required for assigned projects. Determine and institute the degree of detail necessary to effectively complete each phase of field implementation Ensure the timely development of work procedures and other documentation required for successful project execution plans (PEPs).
