| Join one of the largest multispecialty medical groups based in the Greater Austin area We have been voted one of the BEST PLACES TO WORK by our employees for 8 years PURPOSE Designs codes tests andor maintains application programs andor data interfaces of any complexity in a multivendor environment Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Aids in building and maintaining a Communitywide full service patient care system Actively seeks to advance knowledge of systems applications software hardware and staff operations Investigates the underlying structure design and interrelationship of the software applications and business objectives Interacts with the users of the system as needed in order to answer questions identify problems design projects document and train Analyzes user requirements to determine specifications and the most efficient design approach for assigned project Consults with other project members to determine possible internal program interactions Designs assigned routines including development of flow charts Recommends alternative design for performance efficiency and functionality Codes and tests assigned routines using approved test specifications Develops test specifications for the assigned project Prepares concise technical user and workflow documentation as needed Keeps abreast of improvements in programming techniques and applies as needed Learns skills necessary to basic system administration in order to provide operational support and troubleshooting expertise Provides guidance and expertise to other team members MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or GED equivalent Bachelorrsquos degree with a major in Information Systems Computer Science or Business preferred Required Experience At least four (4) or more years of programming experience Work experience demonstrating initiative to improve program and system design and efficiency Experience with Health Information Exchanges and Accountable Care Organizations helpful Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of InterfaceIntegration Systems Software HL7 ANSIX12 Knowledge using Microsoft Development tools Knowledge using NET Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency Experience in MultiTiered Web Application Design and Development Experience with Web Services SQL Server DBA VB and the Healthcare Industry IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Tools Microsoft Team Foundation Server Microsoft Entity Framework Microsoft Click Once Deployment Agile Development Methodologies Continuous Integration Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services OLAP Windows Communication Foundation Oracle |
