| The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is the national association for regulatory agencies for nursing NCSBN assists and supports boards of nursing to act together on matters of common interest and concern affecting public health safety and regulation This includes the development of national nurse licensing examinations Currently we are seeking a Senior Developer for our Information Technology Department Position provides complex andor multiple levels of technical support and technical expertise in design functions Acts as technical lead andor team lead as needed for medium to complex efforts Writes and tests application code for complex business systems Performs comprehensive unit testing to ensure that code is acceptably bugfree and fully compliant with the design Develops in web clientserver web services and database environments Responsible for the design of complex systems and enhancements to meet specific business requirements Develops functional designs and specifications Coordinates and communicates design specifications with staff Assists in evaluating and recommending technical solutions Responsible for managing the configuration security and administration of MS Team Foundation Server Creates and maintains technical documentation outlining application design and function Ensures documentation is accurate and complete Assists in establishing documentation standards Assists and supports QA testers as necessary with development and execution of test plans Responds in a timely manner to test defects reported by QA testers Ensures requirements are documented sufficiently for testing needs Coordinates with information technology department and user community to successfully implement and maintain systems Responds to assigned help desk issues Ensures the documentation of the resolution and appropriate tracking of assigned calls Ensures appropriate and complete user documentation and training materials Assists in establishing user documentation approach and standards Performs other duties as required Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science Information or Business Technology or related field with a minimum of five years NET development experience or an equivalent amount of training and experience is required Ability to work in a team environment and be technical andor team lead for medium to complex efforts to ensure successful team executed efforts Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Strong experience in working with end users and establishing collaborative rapport Strong understanding and experience with full application development lifecycle and formal methodologies Understanding of process engineering Understanding of project management concepts Experience with a variety of systems and package implementations conversions migrations etc Technical expertise must includeNET Framework version 40 and greater Visual BasicC NET ASPNET MVC TFS 20102012 administration experience Web Services XML SQL Server HTML JavaScript CSS Unit Testing Strong understanding of ntier architecture concepts Microsoft Word Excel Access Outlook PowerPoint Project The following are preferred but not required NET Framework version 45 and greater WCF ADONET Entity Framework LINQ HTML5 CSS3 jQuery Adobe Flex version 30 or greater Cairngorm framework Windows desktop and server operating systems including IIS NCSBN offers an excellent work environment in a team based approach that fosters professionalism technical support and career growth in addition to competitive benefits and compensation Visit our website at wwwncsbnorg httpwwwncsbnorg For immediate consideration submit a cover letter resume and salary requirements to Joseph Dudzik DHR NCSBN 111 East Wacker Drive Suite 2900 Chicago Illinois 60601 or fax at 3122791032 or email at jdudzikncsbnorg EOE mailtojdudzikncsbnorg EOE |
