| Handle Interesting Projects for a leading B2B Website The Thomas Industrial Network (TIN) is a valued resource for buyers and sellers in the industrial marketplace Our online product sourcing and supplier discovery platform is used across industry and location (please visit us at wwwThomasNetcom httpwwwthomasnetcom ) In this newly created position you will work with the Manager of Web Analytics to manage the reporting system that tracks web site activity on ThomasNetcom domains We are a collaborative group that welcomes and rewards initiative and a strong work ethic Day to day activities include Assist in adhoc analysis by writing MySQL queries that will extract information from the data warehouse Analyze data and create reports in a presentable format produce weekly biweekly and monthly Excel reports for management Investigate significant changes in traffic on ThomasNetcom domains and identify the cause of the changes through investigation that will require the use of MySQL QA report tracking tags to ensure that tags that will be implemented on the site match the ones on the tagging documentation Requirements Minimum 3 years experience with databases such as MySQL (preferred) SQL Server Oracle MS Access etc and writing SQL queries Must be able to write SQL queries from scratch Minimum 3 years of practical experience with Excel Must be highly comfortable with using vlookup named ranges pivot tables macros etc Experience with web analytics tools such as WebTrends Google Analytics Omniture preferred Knowledge of web analytics andor experience with business reporting Knowledge of web metrics (eg Visits Bounce Rates Page Views Impressions Clicks CTR CPC etc) highly preferred Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau (preferred) Microstrategy Cognos SAP etc a plus Experience with web analytics tagging a plus Knowledge of database and web architecture a plus Excellent written and oral communication skills College degree in Statistics Mathematics or Computer ScienceMIS preferred We offer a comprehensive benefits package with Rx dental and 401(k) NOTE we are hiring local candidates only this position is located at our NYC HQ directly across the street from Penn Station Please forward an attached copy of your resume including salary requirements to careersthomaspublishingcom mailtorecruiterthomaspublishingcom Join ThomasNetcom on FaceBook hellip Find ThomasNetcom on LinkedIn hellip Follow ThomasNetcom on Twitter |
