| The Opportunity: We are looking for a Basis Administrator Contractor. For this 12-month contract, the Basis Administrator will provide SAP ECC 6 Basis support and security configuration expertise. They will work with the server and operations teams to maintain the ECC core components, support enhancement/development cycles, and analyze and resolve application issues. This is a 12- month contract position. Telecommuting is acceptable for the duration of this assignment with the exception of the need to be on site 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks following our go-live in the first week of September 2013. What You'll Do: Provide SAP implementation support and Basis Administration including: Knowledge and skill to quickly troubleshoot and resolve performance issues Provide system refresh activities Implementation of security requests including role design and security administration Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, patching, and upgrading SAP ABAP and J2EE systems with a focus on Basis Strongly promote and implement SAP-based best practices in a Windows/SQL Server environment Serve as the operations lead for SAP Basis support, training and mentoring of junior administrators What You'll Need: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of SAP ECC configuration experience, versions 6.0 and above. Experience with SAP application development processes including knowledge of ABAP, Basis, Infospokes and SAP interfaces Configuration knowledge of FI/CO, SD, WM, MM modules a plus Strong understanding of the integration points with complimentary modules, integration knowledge of SAP CRM and ECC a plus Excellent communication skills – verbal and written Excellent attention to detail Critical thinking and problem solving skills Work well in a team environment - ability to coordinate work between multiple internal clients and vendor team members Ability to work with little direction and make decisions independently Manage multiple project assignments in a professional manner Experience with SAP reporting tools including BW, BEx, BEx Analyzer and/or Report Painter Familiar with SAP change control processes and procedures |
