| Vision Government Solutions, Inc., a premier provider of property tax services and software technologies, is seeking a strong IT Technologist for its Product & IT Service Division. We are a privately-held firm that is based in Northborough, Massachusetts and well-positioned for continued growth. Summary: We seek a strong IT Technologist to support our diverse and general internal IT needs. This position may be equally be assigned to support our existing products, to create adhoc SQL procedures/reports for our business users, to convert and load data into our products for new customers, as well as to install and support system integration interfaces between our products and our client’s third-party applications. The position is located in Northborough MA and focused on internal needs, however, depending on our projects, there may be the requirement to travel to clients sites for technical requirements, testing, and go-live issue resolution. This is generally infrequent and short term in nature. Essential Functions: Support our products usage for internal and external customers. Develop data manipulation programs in SQL. Lead product batch job creation and execution for client implementation projects. We focus on state and local government property tax related business processes. Execute all phases of IT operations and product deployments, including system interfaces, data movement, database conversions/programming, windows server and desktop config/support, issue research/resolution, or any technical task required to ensure successful deployment or operations. Ability to analyze information and recommend plan of action to project team members and/or stakeholders. Assist team members and product users with problems. Gather, compile, analyze and document software or system integration requirements. Compile and write documentation of technical configurations and subsequent revisions. Prepare documents describing installation and operating procedures for deliverables. Troubleshoot applications and quickly resolve production issues. Identify issues and inconsistencies with data quality and creates processes to overcome system deficiencies. Qualifications: Associate’s degree and 3-5 years demonstrable experience in development and/or database conversion/manipulation. Experience in Windows Server, End User, Desktop, AD, IIS, Networking, SQL Server, Oracle, Security Must have experience in PL/SQL or T-SQL. Experience with IT batch and data jobs development and execution in support of appraisal projects. Experience in Stored Procedure Programming, PL/SQL, and T-SQL. Experience with N-tier product and database installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to meet short deadlines. Effective oral and written communication skills. Comfortable talking with customers, peers, and managers. |
