Note: This is a full-time direct-hire W2 position, principals only. No third party recruiting agency submissions will be accepted at this time. *Summary The position of Front End Developer is responsible for the engineering of front end browser or server side applications with initiatives to build highly scalable, interactive web sites and mobile web solutions. Requirements include extensive experience in various HTML/CSS frameworks and responsive design. This position will perform as a member of a small multi-disciplinary team involved in the entire software development life cycle. Duties also include evaluating tasks based on browser based application feature specifications, planning development schedules, executing coding tasks, interfacing with the back-end team for service integration and close collaboration with the QA team through deployment process. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include the following: Implement data driven interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript / jQuery Produce CSS3 styled, graphically rich, components Estimate and deliver on development tasks with high level of accuracy Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering Qualifications As a basis for consideration, all interested applicants must possess the following qualifications: Significant development experience building web applications (5+ years) Demonstrated expertise in the development of complex web front-end applications specifically single page applications Expert knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery and their various design patterns Extensive experience with cross-browser HTML5 / CSS3. Basic Photoshop / Graphics production skills Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for data driven UI components Expert knowledge of Javascript. Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment. Familiar with several major libraries, frameworks and tools e.g. Jquery, Closure, Backbone, LESS CSS, Underscore etc. Candidates possessing the additional preferred skills (see below), will receive priority in consideration for employment: Experience with server side programming specifically with Python.
