Retirement (ISR) engages in the creation distribution and servicing of mutual funds and variable and fixed annuities These innovative solutions help consumers address their accumulation protection and retirement income needs Our products are distributed through banks wirehouses brokerdealers and institutional clients ISR is located in Cedar Rapids Iowa Denver Colorado and St Petersburg Florida ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing vision and defining objectives necessary to implement effective technology strategy that aligns with divisional and company business strategy Required to understand longterm industry trends and incorporate those into the divisional objectives to create a technology roadmap Provides management and supervision for the IT department within the IT organization Collaborates with leadership across Transamerica divisions and outside consultants to support the requirements of the business middot Provide leadership and direction including team development performance improvement management and day to day allocation of resourcesmiddot Effectively manage team resources in according with project requirements and departmental goalsobjectivesmiddot Maximizes organizational effectiveness alongside peers through integrated strategies business development workflows and system development effortsmiddot Has or develops a clear working knowledge of both the division and the company proactively identifies potential issues and participates in key business decisionsmiddot Identifies potential issues identifies organizational metrics and measures analyzes information and develops strategic methodologies to drive process andor project improvement and achieve desired objectivesmiddot Develops processes and procedures to meet organizational goals as it relates to assigned organization and business units Collaborates with other strategic partners internal and external to the enterprisemiddot Creates a culture of collaboration and ownership within the organization and promotes that culture when dealing with internal and external customers and peers middot Provides guidance and input to strategic and technical planning for various IT projects Manage planned budgets and projects within allotted budgets and scheduled timeframesmiddot Maintains close contact with the user to ensure needs and expectations are reliable punctual and predictable attendance QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role will be a proven leader with strong business acumen and demonstrated success driving positive transformational change both within their direct span of control and across large organizationsThe successful candidate will also be able to demonstratemiddot Success in responding to ambiguitymiddot Ability to both think strategically and successfully execute strategic objectivesmiddot Ability to consistently overcome and drive through obstacles to deliver organizational resultsmiddot Well developed ability to coach team members to increased levels of performance The successful candidate will also possess a Bachelorrsquos degree (MBA preferred) and 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a business environment Strong preference will be given to candidates with IT andor Financial Services experience Preferred qualifications Highly motivated detail oriented effective
