change the world and wersquore looking for a an Network Operations Manager Carrier VoIP Communications to join our team Responsibilities Overall responsibility for a team of 7 handling Infrastructure Applications DevOps IT ndash Desktop and Technical Support (Customers) Manage the Team in the daytoday operations of a 247 production environment that utilizes physical and cloud infrastructure running both Windows and Linux and both TDM and VoIP telecommunications systems Provide personnel management for growing team members creating career development plans mentoring performance reviews etc Manage the day to day operations of a 247 high traffic web environment as well as plan new buildouts and initiatives for both Web and IP Communications services Work closely with the development teams to facilitate enterprise application architecture Initiatives Participate in the long term strategy for the infrastructure architecture of the platform Manage all monitoring and analysis tools and processes Facilitate weekly reports citing metrics on server and systems monitoring backups and Utilization trends successes and challenges Conduct capacity planning to ensure timely acquisition of IT resources and budget Oversee production code releases and maintain deployment processes Manage the execution and development of Business Continuity plans for production and corporate IT environments Oversee hosting and infrastructure expenses for the department including budgeting tracking and cost containment Develop and maintain a recurring maintenance plan for resiliency testing and planned software upgrades Qualifications Direct experience with telecommunications carriers and delivery of voice services via SIP trunks 10+ years total experience including 5+ years in a production 247 high traffic web environment including web hosting security and experience with load balancing implementations and high availability networks Experienced manager who has proven ability to lead through mentorship collaboration and enabling team members Experience with data center infrastructure and applications and experience with DevOps and Release Automation Strong understanding of VOIP maintaining IP networks secure systems scalable redundant web architectures and IP Communications systems Must be proven at creating and improving SOPs and running production environments with five 9s uptime Knowledge of configuration management tools like Octopus Bamboo puppetchef and monitoring tools like Nagios or Orion Experience hosting in Amazon EC2 S3 or Rackspace Cloud Knowledge of Oracle 11G MS SQL server database Excellent time management communication decision making presentation and organization skills Nice to Have Knowledge of Mongo Familiarity with PCI DSS security needs
