| Alameda County Information Technology Department Competitive salary excellent benefits good location (2 blocks to Bart and Lake Merritt) OVERVIEW This position focuses on supporting Project Management activities required for the Innovation Design Engineering and Analysis (IDEA) team specifically Java development projects The IDEA team is responsible for Alameda Countyrsquos Website Designs FileNet Document Imaging Autonomy Content Management Social Media accounts SharePoint 2013 and Hackathon Events The team supports County departments such as the Registrar of Voters with website design and maintenance custom applications both online and mobile apps as well as social media accounts JOB DUTIES lead the planning and implementation of application design projects and software upgrades facilitate the definition of project scope goals and deliverables define project tasks and resource requirements develop full scale project plans manage project resource allocation plan and schedule project timelines design and code Java programs to support the business users track project deliverables using appropriate tools provide direction and support to project team constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders present reports defining project progress problems and solutions implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs project evaluations and assessment of results working as part of a multidisciplinary team SKILLS EXPERIENCE 57+ years of software development software engineering experience 45+ years of Web Development 3+ years of experience as an application architect 3+ years of experience in a relational database design Good command of modern UI design techniques and practices Practical knowledge of IT Application development SDLC processes Thorough knowledge of Java Java application servers and web technologies such as JSP XML CSS Servlets AJAX Experience building scalable and extensible web applications Experience with application performance testing and optimization Experience with configuration management and source code management tools Thorough handson development experience with relational databases SQL Server DB2 preferred Excellent written oral and personal communication skills Ability to establish and manage relationships with the customers and end users Must be a selfstarter and able to work independently with little supervision knowledge of project management techniques and tools direct work experience in project management capacity Organized and able to deliver to a deadline We look forward to hearing from you Howard Hill Howardhillacgovorg mailtoHowardhillacgovorg Keywords Systems Analyst Java JSP XML CSS Servlets AJAX HTML5 SQL Web Services JQuery ASP Net Systems Analyst Senior Systems Analyst Project Manager Oakland Alameda County |
