| Position Overview The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and proven implementation of OOP best practices while working in a multitiered design and development environment He or She will work on a collaborative team to develop and maintain applications with a strong emphasis in server side technologies Roles Responsibilities A successful candidate will take direction from managers and technical leads provide estimates communicate issues and help provide creative solutions to technical problems He or she will take initiative to stay on top of developments to Microsoft NET platform and prove a willingness to strive to expand his or her skill set The ideal candidate will be expected to work flexibly in small or large teams and to provide code consistent with company standards He or she should be enthusiastic about programming should take initiative to offer technical direction and should possess effective written and oral communication skills Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenanceupgrades Test modify and implement application codes make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with highlevel specifications application support and industry standards Assign and track development tasks to other members in development team located onsite and offshore Support tech leadarchitect on technical deliverables Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Creation of relevant documents throughout the SDLC Actively participate in meetings with all the stakeholders Coach and guide the team for successful delivery of assigned modules Build and Deliver code and related documentation Support maintain and implement enhancements in existing applications Conduct code review and ensure adherence to good code quality practices Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver code Work independently and ensure timely deliverables Required Skills 5+ Years of experience in Software application development on Net 10203540 platform C ASPNet 203540 XML Web Services SQLPLSQL SQL Server 2000 2005 MySQL JavaScript HTML XHTML AJAX CSS Silverlight JQueryPrototypeScriptaculous SVN Hands on experience building enterprise level web applications Strong object oriented analysis and design skills Knowledge of design patterns Exposure to nonMicrosoft technologies like Java and WebObjects a plus Experience with CMS Systems (Drupal Wordpress etc) Aspera Enterprise Server is desired but not required Exposure to working with Digital Asset Management system a plus Educational Requirement Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Engineering is required (Masters degree in highly preferred) Note We are looking for candidates LOCAL TO CHICAGO ONLY All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States and reside locally Consulting Companies Staffing Agencies and 3rd Party Recruiters applications are not accepted |
