| ASPIRE BELIEVE ACHIEVE We are Trident University International System Engineer installs configures administers and supports Trident University servers (physical virtual) Storage Area Networks (SAN) Network Attached Storage (NAS) backup system and special appliances System Engineer must attend and resolve issues related to servers storage systems backup systems and other special systems Duties and Responsibilities Plans installs configures and administers servers with Microsoft Windows operating system SAN NAS and backup systems Some support of Linux opeating system is required Monitors both physical and virtual servers SAN NAS backups on a daily basis to ensure maximum performance and uptime Maintain Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure and Global Policy Objects Provides phone and email technical support to Trident staff faculty and students for ITrelated issues Coordinates with endusers and internal IT groups to provide needed user support and resolve IT issues Supports various applications software platforms including Active Directory DHCP Windows Update Services Microsoft Email Exchange VMWare Citrix ShoreTel Phone system AntiVirus and communication devices Administers patch management for all servers Remains abreast of emerging technologies for servers SAN NAS Virtualization and other related systems supporting Information Technology infrastructure Learns and maintains a good understanding of Trident Information Technology conceptual and physical architecture Supports software developers database administrators Information Technology helpdesk staff with ITrelated issues Is available on a 24X7 basis to work with other IT personnel and technology providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues Performs other duties and special projects as required When you work with Trident University what you do matters If you have met the qualifications listed below we encourage you to apply Final candidate will be subject to a criminal background check Required Skills and Abilities A Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization Degree requirements may be substituted for an equivalent combination of education training and experience Minimum of Five (5) years experience in a related IT position Good knowledge and experience with adminsitering Microsoft Windows Server VMWare virtualization technology NetApp Storage Area Network and Symantec BackupExec Experience with Microsoft Exchange ShoreTel Phone System and Citrix technology is a plus Ability to work extended hours andor weekends on short notice Ability to organize prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiency Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of associates and management as well as with the public and outside vendors Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality Ability to architect technology solution using commercially available cloud based technology Work Environment While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to interact with others to get a clear understanding of an issue so that it can be resolved correctly and quickly The employee is frequently required to walk sit at desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time Heshe will work a standard business work week in a multistory office building with elevator access Will work a standard work week but will often involve overtime on weekdays or weekends |
