Job Description
| Under the direction of the IS Assistant Manager the Web Administrator will design develop and implement the intranet and Internets sites which support the Agencys internal and external web presence The Web Administrator will work with Vendors and Consultants to organize and deliver web solutions Provide customer support to both NCPA employees and members Meet with various departments to develop custom sites integrate workflow processes and assist with document library structuring Perform maintenance duties such as upgrading web software applying code fixes and monitoring web usage This position also requires desk side support to employees through the Information Services help desk process This includes troubleshooting desktop hardware and software problems EXAMPLES OF DUTIES 1 Work with vendors and consultants to help design and structure both Intranet and Internet sites 2 Assist to define implement and maintain a governance model that provides structure for appropriate usage of the Intranet and Internet sites 3 Responsible for web server availability reviewing user activity error logs and site statistics 4 Assist and train authorized website editors to properly structure and organize content 5 Responsible for testing web applications developing plans implementing and maintaining assigned sites 6 Maintain the necessary access permissions to provide user security to web sites and pages 7 Provide enduser support for Agency computers at both the hardware and software levels 8 Provide enduser support to visiting Members and other guests attending meeting when Agency network or internet connectivity is required 9 Occasionally be called upon to operate personal vehicles to travel to NCPA remote field sites to provide support of remote users 10 Responsible for conducting independent communications with user departments in a cooperative and professional manner 11 Will occasionally be called upon to be available outside normal working hours on a basis rotational with other department employees to provide emergency system support as necessary 12 Regularly required to sit at a computer and requires manual dexterity and eyehand coordination to operate and adjust office equipment such as computers TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree (B A) from fouryear college or university and one to two years related experience andor training A minimum of one year in the design and programming of computers which shall have included programming of interactive programs Experience shall include exposure to systems analysis techniques Knowledge of Web programming languages such as HTML ASP NET JavaScript and PHP Must be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint technologies and integration with Microsoft Office software Computer equipment and capabilities microcomputers data communications and local area networking relational database and clientserver software Knowledge of principles and programming techniques used to implement online interactive applications technical report writing systems analysis techniques data base management concepts and management information system concepts California drivers license and insurance |
