| Swinerton Incorporateds IT Department is looking for a Level 1 IT Project Manager to lead and manage the successful delivery of various IT and business projects through the entire project lifecycle including managing scope time cost risk and quality while maintaining a positive environment The position will be based out of our downtown Concord office To be successful in this role the Level 1 IT Project Manager should possess a solid understanding of project management approaches and tools to manage multiphased projects and the flexibility to lead multidisciplinary and diverse teams to deliver solutions Primary responsibilities will include Provides expert leadership to highly visible and multifaceted projects while motivating and fostering coordination across teams to deploy solutions Work with business units to determine project drivers goals and visions to ultimately produce project deliverables (Charter Plans Statuses Change Requests Risk Management etc) Lead project teams to accurately estimate resources scope and define an appropriate project delivery method to align with the goals for the project Provide staff leadership to multidisciplinary teams as well as manage work of outside consultants Proactively manage (with minimal supervision) all tactical aspects of a project budget schedule scope issuesrisks quality communication and team members on a regular basis Work closely with the team on an ongoing basis to ensure project requirements are clearly defined met and understood Proactively communicate project vitals such as project status project finances and project resources to the companys Project Management Office (PMO) Work with the PMO to build and improve project management tools ongoing practices and knowledge sharing Mentor employees on Project Management duties responsibilities and best practices Position requirements include Minimum 6+ years experience at least 3 years in project management plus 3 years experience working on IT projects (or the equivalent combination of education and experience) Formal Project Management training strongly encouraged PMP certification a plus Ability to understand IT concepts such as web applications servers database types and structures network infrastructure components reporting and query fundamentals and integration methodologies Accepts and adapts to change readily Uses resources effectively and efficiently can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal Learns quickly when facing new problems enjoys the challenge of an unfamiliar task quickly grasps the essence and underlying structure of issues andor tasks Excellent English verbal listening and written communication skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently Ability to work effectively with people can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with internal and external groups Effective problemsolving ability and strong analytical skills can see underlying or hidden problems and patterns looks beyond the obvious to develop solution options Flexibility reliability dependability and a high sense of integrity To apply for this position please visit our website at wwwswinertoncom and be sure to include cover letter resume and salary expectations Once you are visiting Swinertons Employment page please click on Browse open positions select the job title for which you would like to apply and add it to your job cart (at the bottom of the page) Swinerton Incorporated is an equal opportunity employer committed to workforce diversity |
