| Manager of Software Development This newly created position will be a pivotal member of our IT team As our Manager of Software Development you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining APIwide policies and procedures for software lifecycle management and management of APIs Information Architecture software portfolio and software development standards toolkits and methodologies You will be our inhouse expert for software development and management coordinating closely with API vendors developers analysts project managers and customer stakeholders to ensure that API applications are fitforpurpose achieve desired functionality are secure evolve as needed throughout their lifespan and are not allowed to excessively age You will be responsible for Working directly with the Director of IT and leadership from customer departments to define models policies and procedures for o Development of API software applications framework o Application portfolio management tracking and prioritization o Information architecture definition and revision o Software testing and quality assurance o Application security audits and assessments o Application lifecycle management maintenance enhancement replacement Providing software team with leadership mentoring and regular review of their work product Developing requirements and specifications in software development contract negotiations Coordinating with IT operations team to ensure application performance and security Lead IT applications development team and resource to developers or contractors in other departments Ensuring software license management that enterprise applications are properly licensed in a cost effective manner Essential Skills and Education for this position include A bachelors degree or masters degree in computer science or related field 510 yrs of experience in software development or related department 5+ yrs software development management Background in enterprise distributed applications Significant demonstrated experience with Enterprise software design and integration Services Oriented Architecture Microsoft Visual Studio Microsoft ASPNET MVC and NuGet experience preferred Microsoft Suite of ERP and information sharing applications including Dynamics GP and CRM and SharePoint Knowledge of modern Application Development methodologies Proven ability to coach and mentor lessexperienced leaders and associates Possess high levels of energy and selfmotivation with experience working with teams to implement change and be adept at communicating with all levels to achieve consensus and buyin Excellent written and verbal communications skills To apply to this job go to httpshomeeeaseadpcomrecruitid3841581 About API The American Petroleum Institute (API) is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of Americas oil and natural gas industry Our more than 500 members from the largest major oil company to the smallest of independents come from all segments of the industry They are producers refiners suppliers pipeline operators and marine transporters as well as service and supply companies that support all segments of the industry We offer excellent benefits competitive salary and a great working atmosphere API is an EOE Learn more about API at wwwapiorg |
