| ORGANIZATION The Center for Autism and Related Disorders Inc (CARD) is among the worldrsquos largest and most experienced organizations effectively treating children with autism and related disorders With US and International reach CARD touches the lives of hundreds of children and their families Through a network of trained therapists supervisors and researchers we develop and implement quality comprehensive and personalized treatment programs which lead to success and in many cases recovery CARD was started in 1990 by renowned psychologist and early researcher of autism Dr Doreen Granpeesheh She designed a unique treatment curriculum based on the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) method and built an organization of dedicated and trained staff Currently CARD has 19 USbased offices serving in the following states California Arizona Illinois Massachusetts New York Texas and Virginia and 2 International offices Australia and New Zealand CARDrsquos goal is to become the worldwide leader of topquality autism treatments DESCRIPTION Working as a member of the IT Services Information Data Strategy Team the Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for the analysis and design of data marts for the Data Warehouse Major responsibilities include engagement of stakeholders and customers to gather requirements for the design and development of data models and design specifications using star schema techniques analyze and create ExtractTransformLoad (ETL) specifications collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts conduct system performance analysis and problem resolution The person in this position will also evaluate and analyze emerging technologies solutions methods and best practices to continuously improve the delivery of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Solutions RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and represent CARD policy enthusiastically Evaluate databases for inclusion in the warehouse Work with databases development DBA on designs so they are warehouse friendly Evaluate maintain and implement ETL Tools and reporting tools Evaluate and integrate external sources of data into the warehouse Maintain warehouse ETL and reporting tools documentation and standards Recommend new documentation and standards Perform capacity planning calculations Perform data warehouse tuning and performance monitoring Architect Design and implement warehouse Evaluate request for new or modified reportswarehouse changes for feasibility cost time and compatibility with existing systems Responsible for migrating code database changes data from Development to QA and from QA to Staging and from Staging to Production Implement physical data model from logical data models Assist with report development Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in the areas of code migration architecture design and implementation of logical data models development of stored procedures and reporting development Documents warehouse and advising on integration of warehouse data in applications Assists business analyst and users to solve problems Mentor and lead other team members and users in the use of BI tools ETL tools and general or specific use of the warehouse Work as part of a team and provide 7times24 supports when required QUALIFICATIONS Communication skills sufficient to effectively convey complex technical topics orally and in writing to audiences with disparate background and levels Sufficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels and experience possess motivation and skill to meet project goals with creative and collaborative solutions Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems MIS (or similar) OR equivalent relevant professional experience Experience working within a information technology organization with emphasis on Data Warehousing Extremely high level of expertise with databases and data warehouse schema design data (10 or more years) Microsoft preferred Extremely high level of ETL BI and reporting (7 or more years preferred) Ability to analyze and evaluate user requirements and source system data (7 or more years preferred) Extensive knowledge of SQL indexes triggers and stored procedures All operations run on Microsoft stack Microsoft experience preferred but not necessary BENEFITS For qualifying employees benefits include medical dental vision life insurance flexible spending program 401 K earned paid vacation sick and holiday pay educational assistance program and corporate discount programs |
