| Position SoftwareModeler Engineer Demand Foresight At Demand Foresight we are passionate in our quest to create the next generation of Sales and Operations (SOP) Forecasting Software One of the most powerful supply chain software innovations seen in decades Demand Foresights forecasting and planning software (the Demand Commander SOP suite) offers the comprehensive visibility companies need to see problems coming before they arrive and the collaboration needed for efficient agile response Demand Foresight creates its own Global Optimization (nonlinear) models for complex scenarios it sometimes uses the simple technology of statistics for more predictable items and then submits the bestmost accurate (optimized) forecast for that item Over time Demand Commander changes its models on its own as it sees shifting demand patterns trends and causal factors Demand Commanders forecast engine is unique in the marketplace Job Description Your responsibility will be to aid in the design and implementation of software that performs intelligent adaptive behavior in predicting forecast through various statistical methods as well as more advanced methods You must be a self starter and be able to research and solve problems quickly and work effectively with other engineers We are looking for a software engineer with strong track record of building production quality software The right candidate must be able to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions through research skills programming abilities and excellent written and verbal communications skills Selfreliance and imagination are required This will be a full time permanent work from home position If you possess some or all of the following qualifications we want to hear from you Qualifications Software EngineerModeler with advanced degreeexperience strong applied math skills and familiarity in using numerical libraries Programming in C NET environment Broad understanding of the discipline and technologies of Cognitive Computing including Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning and Optimization Indepth experience with at least one specialized Cognitive Computing technology such as Genetic Algorithms Neural Networks Bayesian Belief Networks Ideally your experience will be relevant to analyzing data patterns MS in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related fields Expertise in building intelligent (machine learning AI) systems which solve massive (big datalarge systems) intractable (nonlinearno known theory) messy real world problems Develop and test intelligent algorithms which utilize econometric models governing pricingpromotiondemand for retailers distributorsmanufacturers Ideal candidate has realworld experience with at least one of the following Statistics signal extraction and processing time series analysis data mining techniques Proven track record of designing developing and deploying software solutions into an enterprise production environment using systematic development methodologies Team player with strong interpersonal skills Independent work style that is driven by accountability to agreed upon milestones Preferred Additional Skills Microsoft SQL Query Language Familiarity with HadoopMahout cloud runtime highperformance file systems a plus Consulting experience wwwDemandForesightcom |
