| The Information technology (IT) Manager is responsible for providing handson leadership structure and vision to the IT Department at the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap County The IT Manager is responsible for oversight of the IT Department and reports to the Senior Vice President of Financial Development and Strategic Collaborations The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is a part of YMCAs systems for servers and workstations 61607 Substantial IT infrastructurearchitecture experience 61607 HandsOn knowledge of 61607 Windows networking fundamentals including security file systems and kernel 61607 TCPIP networking experience 61607 L2 AND L3 protocols 61607 Storage technologies and arrays 61607 Monitoring and troubleshooting tools 61607 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 2008 61607 Experience with Microsoft Dynamics PG (preferred) 61607 Background knowledge of cloud service virtualization ResponsibilitiesExpectations 61607 Direct plan and schedule the development production and administrative processes of the YMCAs information technology operations 61607 Implement and enforce formal management methodologies for all ITrelated projects 61607 Build systemcapabilities that reflect the highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the YMCAs needs and budget 61607 Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports 61607 Prepare and administer annual department budget 61607 Stay abreast of new technology and look for ways to enhance the YMCAs information systems and recommend possible improvements to top executives 61607 Assess the costs and benefits of any new IT initiatives to justify spending to top executives 61607 Plan and direct installation of and upgrades to computer hardware and software 61607 Plan direct and review the work of other IT professionals including systems analysts website and mobile software developers network administrators and other computer support specialists 61607 Analyze workflow and then assign and schedule work to meet organizational priorities and goals 61607 Determine short and longterm personnel needs for the department 61607 Establish and maintain effective business relationships with vendors of hardware software and other related services critical to the efficient operation of the department 61607 Negotiate with technology vendors to get the highest level of service for the YMCA 61607 Ensure the security and continuity of the YMCAs network systems member information and electronic documents 61607 Interpret and apply pertinent federal state and local policies laws and regulations 61607 Maximize use of the YMCA information system by providing for the education and training of principal users Branch Team Member and YMCA Values Model the YMCA values of Caring Honesty Respect and Responsibility through fun positive relationships with members and staff Seek every opportunity to encourage motivate and thank fellow staff members for their work Be enthusiastic toward members by learning their names and expressing an interest in their YMCA activities Strive to enrich their Y experience by introducing them to new programs staff members and volunteer activities Understand the Ys mission goals objectives and programs to better relay this information to members for Youth Development Healthy Living and Social Responsibility Professional Image and Development Maintain a consistent professional image through dress actions and relationships with members Speak enthusiastically on behalf of the Y at given opportunities Participate in applicable training and conferences to further professional growth as outlined in annual training plan Attend and participate in staff meetings as requested Represents the YMCA and self in a professional manner of safety and fun Minimum Qualification Bachelor of Science Computer Science Engineering or Telecommunications or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 58+ years of directly relevant experience Considerable knowledge of principles and practices regarding networking computer hardware and software systems with an emphasis in diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques Experience with VMWARE and SAN and NAS technologies (preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred) |
