| ORACLE FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST WITH DBA BACKGROUND Location Norwood NJ Employee Type Full Time Industry Food Importing Manage Others Yes Job Type Information Technology Education 4 Year Degree Experience At Least 4 to 5 Years Travel Minimal Description To assume primary responsibility of functional and operation of the Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) application Provide all inclusive Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) functionality (additional) Provide an understanding of database reporting functions based on management requirements Company Overview We are a major importer and distributor of branded and private label seafood fruits vegetables and specialty foods for the foodservice and retail industries In order to provide optimum service levels to its customer base the company employs the latest in technologies and innovative strategies We offer full benefits to include Health careDental 401k paid vacation Position Responsibilities Operations and Development Generate reports interfaces customizations and application extensions of Oracle Applications 11iR12 based on working knowledge of EBS system configuration and programming requirements Lead in testing of all new developments patches and new processes Assist in developing interfaces to other systems in accordance with Oracle EBS coding standard Provide functional support for Oracle EBS and database integrations Assist team members in learning the applications from a technical support perspective Educate team members on Oracle EBS best practices Interface with business functional leaders and users to understand requirements and translate these into automated solutions Analyze business problems or improvement opportunities and help apply the appropriate people processes or technology solutions Manage projects Including appropriate planning documentation communication escalation task completion and the direct and indirect management of others Manage outside consulting and support resources as required EDI Functions Manage the daily EDI transactions between suppliers partners and customers Establish monitoring and control processes that ensure secure accurate and timely delivery transmission or loading of EDI data Build and maintain data integrity audit processes to verify and maintain data accuracy and integrity Work with clearing houses vendors partners and customers to negotiate standards and develop test and implement new EDI transactions and associated processes Database Functions Work with outside DBA in the administrative functions for performance security and application development as required Generate adhoc reports based on management requirements Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Three to four years managing an information technology operation Strong knowledge of ERP systems Excellent knowledge of Oracle 11iR12 applications (GLOPMOTMOBIEEDiscoverer) Handson experience working with Oracle Developer 2000 reports forms data conversion interfaces custom extensions and database administration Working knowledge of PLSQL Java BPEL and XML Handson experience with Oracle B2B gateway including messaging services transports security document validation and document translation Knowledge of X12 ACS standards Working knowledge of Oracle System Management including BAM FMW Console and WLS Console Strong experience querying databases (Oracle MS SQL server) and other information sources Proven analysis and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or Business Administration Knowledge of food service industry Knowledge of general controls supporting SOX 404 Process abilities specified in COA Standard TS 307 Ability to travel as required |
