| Vision Government Solutions, Inc., a premier provider of property tax services and software technologies, is seeking a strong Implementation Programmer for its growing implementation team. We are a privately-held firm that is based in Northborough, Massachusetts and well-positioned for continued growth. Summary: We seek an experienced Implementation Programmer to convert and load data for new clients, create interface specification documents for custom client interfaces, assist in product GAP analysis for new implementation projects and assist in testing of completed implementation projects. Additionally, experience with PL/SQL, T-SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server would be beneficial. The position is located in Northborough, MA, however depending on implementation projects there may be the requirement to travel to clients sites for technical requirements, testing, and go-live issue resolution. Essential Functions: Work on a team that designs, develops, tests, documents, implements, and maintains commercial software components, reports, and products that support state and local government property tax related business processes. Execute all phases of software application projects, including database conversions, custom report generation, and data verification Contribute to recommendations of design approaches and assist in developing product enhancements (both functional and technical) that satisfy customer contract requirements identified by project managers. Gather, compile, analyze and document Software or System Integration Requirements. Prepare documents describing installation and operating procedures for deliverables. Identify issues and inconsistencies with data quality and create processes to overcome system deficiencies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years in an IT related field Two or more years of SQL Server or Oracle database experience Comfortable with quantitative applications that contain non-trivial statistical and financial-oriented algorithms. Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, excellent multitasking skills and ability to meet short deadlines. Effective oral and written communication skills. Comfortable talking with customers, peers and managers. |
