Job Description
| We are currently seeking to add a Junior Help Desk Associate to our highly motivated IT team Job Description Respond to telephone calls emails and personnel requests for technical support Provide level I support resolving daytoday technical issues for 250+ users within our corporate office and about 50 remote users Open and close help desk tickets Support request will be both deskside and over the telephone Elevating Level II III to the Support Infrastructure teams Setting up repairing and maintaining a wide range of hardware (desktops laptops printers and all other peripherals) and software (Bloomberg Reuters MS Office) and providing technical assistance and training to the endusers Work closely with other IT personnel on system maintenance and configuration projects Required Skill and Experience 12 years experience in IT support Strong allround troubleshooting skills ability to provide both local and remote support (telephone and remote connection) Experience with Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional Experience with Microsoft Office 2003 suite Understanding of Active Directory Understanding and experience with mobile devices (Blackberries iPhone Android iPads etchellip) Ability to troubleshoot copiers faxes scanners and printers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong customer service skills ability to communicate with all different levels of personnel Ability to work under pressure and prioritize between task Ability to learn complex concepts in a fast paced environment and possess a selfstarter attitude Bachelorrsquos Degree Desirable Skills and Experience Experience with Citrix VMware Cisco VPN Experience with Bloomberg and other financial software Experience with Citrix Presentation Server and clients A+ N+ Certifications Financial industry experience Position is fulltime salaried Only qualified candidates are encouraged to respond to this job opening Only resumes in MS Word format will be accepted About Cohen Steers Founded in 1986 Cohen Steers is a leading global investment manager focused on global real estate securities global listed infrastructure real assets large cap value stocks and preferred securities The company also manages alternative investment strategies for qualified investors such as hedged real estate securities portfolios and private real estate strategies Headquartered in New York City with offices in London Brussels Hong Kong Tokyo and Seattle Cohen Steers serves institutional and individual investors around the world |
