| Are you a seasoned PMP certified Project Manager who has experience managing large scale projects Do you have experience managing projects as part of a PMO Do you have experience managing projects at a higher level ie managing projects where the IT PM is part of your core team Do you have experience working with web developers If you answered yest then Wheels has a great career opportunity for you This key position will provide direct overall management for the planning execution implementation and closing stages of assigned large and medium projects within the organization Assist the project sponsor(s) in determining the most appropriate direction and scope of work for assigned projects Oversee and participate in project communications and serve as primary driver to ensure that all project stages are handled in an effective and efficient manner Manage core teams consisting of representatives from various cross functional business and IT functions throughout the organization Responsibilities Serve as Project Manager on specific projects Apply sound project management practices and procedures to successfully deliver project goals and objectives on time and within budget Participate in Charter development (project management plan) and serve as primary point of contact for project inquiries and updates to leadership and management report on project costsspend and provide ad hoc reports as required Help identify and secure project resources and manage the core project team (including Training Testing Quality IT Development Quality Risk Management and general Business Leads) Support the Project Management Office Participate in the ongoing development and updating of organizational Project Management Methodology (PMM) tools and templates Work with PMO Process Quality Management Human Resources and the Business to help develop training courses and materials for ongoing organizational training on project methodology Periodically serve as PMM instructor for internal project courses Contribute to the PMOrsquos best practices knowledge base through continual learning Stay current on industry trends related to project program and portfolio management incorporate learning into Wheels PMM Qualifications EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Minimum 810 years experience with increased levels of project responsibilities including experience in the service industry Bachelorrsquos degree in IT Engineering or Project Management Masterrsquos degree preferred PMP Certification Strong PCIT skills including MS Office Suite Experience reporting within or supporting a Project Management Office Prior involvement in software implementation projects especially interfacing with IT developers analysts andor architects Ability to work independently with limited supervision is required Excellent communication presentation problem solving and interpersonal skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly required to speak hear see and to use hands and fingers for computer keyboard and phone usage Ability to work overtime and travel occasionally as required |
