Job Description
| The ProgrammerAnalyst is responsible for defining and analyzing business systems related issues and for solving designing and implementing solutions that address those issues In addition the ProgrammerAnalyst supports the colleges integrated Student and Administrative Information System including applying maintenance assisting endusers in understanding system functionality participating in group meetings with users and technical staff preparing documentation and developing testing and debugging moderately complex computer programs using software development tools Required Qualifications Associates degree required A degree in Management Information Systems or related field preferred Minimum of five years total experience in systems analysis and design of computer systems including one year of project management experience three years of analytical experience and one year large systembusiness experience Task oriented and able to work on two to three projects simultaneously Programming skills in highlevel computer languages such as COBOL C++ Visual Basic etc Technical skills in relational database (UNIDATA ORACLE) Strong analytical documentation interpersonal and leadership skills including excellent oral and written communications skills Good team player who can also work independently Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with students faculty staff vendors and the public Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree is preferred Experience in installing implementing maintaining and supporting vendor developed administrative systems preferred Programming skills in UniBasic Envision Tool Kit and Colleague Studio a plus Technical skills in UNIX and Client Server environments a plus Experience using third party software for report writing a plus Technical skills with web programming and design a plus Experience in Higher Education a plus Experience with Business Intelligence systems a plus To apply and for more information please visit httpscareersaaccedu httpscareersaaccedu AACC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race color religion ethnicity gender sexual orientation age veteran status or disability We are committed to the power of diversity and the strength it brings to the workplace |
