Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK To coordinate all aspects of the implementation of the TAACCCT Grant projects and programs for NHTI Concordrsquos Community College including program and curriculum development industry outreach program promotion participant recruitment and data tracking and analysis This position reports to the TAACCCT Grant Manager at Great Bay Community College and works under the daily guidance and administrative oversight of the NHTI Business Training Center (BTC) Director This position shall be located at NHTI Concordrsquos Community College ACCOUNTABILITIES Under the direction of the TAACCCT Grant Manager coordinates the implementation of the TAACCCT Grant project and programs Works to develop promote and implement TAACCCT program in close alignment with the Collegersquos Business TrainingWorkforce Development Center and coordinates with other TAACCCT project coordinators Facilitates aptitude assessments candidate selection interviews hiring of facultystaffconsultants paid through the TAACCCT grant and provide training to faculty manage enrollment faculty student performance and support services Assists with designing and developing programs (including online) and instructional guides and validates curricula with industry partners Assists in the creation of articulation agreements and career pathways with high schools two year and four year colleges Draws on existing research performed by the TAACCCT team to identify gaps in existing manufacturing programs develop new and modify existing manufacturing programs and replicate proven program models Expand online delivery of courses and incorporate simulations and virtual training labs Establishes and maintains a regional advisory committee to assist in identifying industry needs and curriculum development Meets with employers and workforce partners for recruitmentoutreach promotional visits coordinates with the TAACCCT marketing and recruitment director on initiatives to market NHTIrsquos manufacturing programs Collaborates with industry workforce development education and community partners to recruit TAA participants other dislocated workers to develop media relations prepares and delivers career awareness orientation sessions Reports on work activities and progress to the TAACCCT research analyst utilizing established systems and reporting protocols Prepares reports on program activity upon the request of the TAACCCT research analyst or BTC director Develops detailed budgets necessary to implement components procures equipment and technology and performs other activities per the TAACCCT Grant requirements Meets regularly with the TAACCCT Grant Manager and other TAACCCT team members to monitor and improve program performance and provides feedback to the Continuous Improvement Committee uses data for formative decisions to adjust activities that drive strategy success Complies with all system college state and federal rules and regulations Performs other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Business Education Public Administration Behavioral Sciences Humanities Information Technology Manufacturing Technology Engineering or related field Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience Experience Four (4) years experience as teacher trainer or curriculumprogram developer with experience in providing education and training for employers and with responsibility for program implementation direct service delivery planning or program evaluation Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education LicensureCertifications Valid driverrsquos license or access to transportation for statewide travel SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS For appointment consideration Program Specialist III applicants must successfully participate in a structured interview measuring possession of knowledge skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance by this class specification The structured interview is developed and administered according to CCSNH guidelines by representatives of the college in which the vacancy exists PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong evidence of familiaritydirect experience with the manufacturing industry in NH is preferred Familiarity with current and evolving teaching strategies and teaching experience at a secondary or postsecondary institution is also preferred RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing the programs to which assigned and of federal and community resources and organizations Working knowledge of research and planning methods and planning techniques Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing Ability to write technical information Ability to understand and interpret the functional interrelationship of policy regulations and procedures and to evaluate the impact on programs service delivery clients and staff Ability to detect and define problem areas and causes and to create and develop effective solutions including the exercise of sound judgment in evaluating situations planning action making decisions and setting priorities Ability to work independently to develop new or alternative approaches to meet changing and variable conditions Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing
