| Position Overview Uses Java programming to provide development support for Haywards IBM Websphere (WAS) Commerce business systems environment Support areas include database JSP Code and Logic changes Major Tasks and Responsibilities Reviews analyzes and modifies programming systems in WAS Commerce including encoding testing debugging and installing to support an organizations application systems Reviews existing computer systems capabilities workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing systems and will coordinate with Websphere eCommerce Analyzes defines and documents system requirements for data workflow logical processes hardware and operating system environment interfaces with other systems internal and external checks and controls and outputs Administers maintains and develops policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases and eCommerce package Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors problems or questions with eCommerce system operations Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development specifications logic coding and user operating procedures with the eCommerce environment Requirements Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience with JAVA programming Experience with Linux operating systems and commands Experience in a Websphere Commerce environment preferred or must be eager to learn IBM Websphere Commerce application Must be a high energy motivated professional with a positive teamoriented attitude Excellent technical customer service and communication skills Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to work with department heads and business leaders within the organization to analyze and comprehend business processes in order to identify functional requirements and data to be supported via programs and reports Technical Skills Required JAVA programming Linux operating systems Experience with a change management tool such as Subversion Preferred IBM Websphere Commerce environment and database experience SQL programming experience Data extraction file uploads and downloads tofrom PCs |
