Wine More is currently looking for an Web Analytics Associate to join the eCommerce department in Potomac MD Reporting to the Sr Director eCommerce this position will play a key role in supporting and developing Total Wine Morersquos eCommerce presence As part of our growing eCommerce team the Web Analytics Associate will focus on assessing managing and presenting data insights for all digital channels with a distinct focus on website analytics and reporting The desired candidate will have extensive prior experience utilizing Google Analytics and other online analytics tools and taking data and creating actionable information The Web Analytics Associate will work closely with various internal stakeholders to analyze data from various online and offline sources to guide marketing and ecommerce decisions making this position a great opportunity to learn many aspects of the business while putting your analytical and reporting skills to work Key Responsibilities Responsible for assessing reporting and presenting data insights with a primary focus on web analytics Measure site usability and effectiveness to optimize purchase funnel Become the goto subject matter expert for website data and analytics Responsible for writing SQ L queries and producing reports Lead development of KPIs dashboardreporting and ad hoc analysis designed to monitor and improve digital marketing campaign performance ndash use Google Analytics internal databases and other tools Analyze data from various online and offline sources to guide marketing and ecommerce decisions with business intelligence data Quickly identify causes and solutions to issues or unexpected results that are identified in reporting Take a consultative approach with optimization recommendations to improve campaign performance user experience content development and online merchandising based on available data Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate reporting solutions Continually seek opportunities to increase stakeholder satisfaction and deepen relationships Performs other duties as assigned Requirements 35+ years with web analytics analysis and reporting in an online marketing (DirecttoConsumer) and eCommerce environment Deep understanding of and handson experience with Google Analytics andor other web analytics tools Experience working in a retail organization a plus Prior SQL database experience Proven demonstrated capability in creating useful dashboards and reports for business users based on lots of data Ability to communicate and work in a crossfunctional team environment to achieve common objectives Education Bachelors in relevant field required Required knowledge skills and abilities Google Analytics and other web analytics tools a must Experience in database analysis and SQL query writing a must Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Access including handling large amounts of data creating pivot tables and macros query writing customizing charts etc Experience in creating documentation related to query and reporting processes Strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to effectively apply knowledge Strong understanding of Internetbased consumer behavior Comfortable with quantitative analysis and drawing conclusions to create an action plan Strong eCommerce foundation with tactical website and internet marketing experience in a B2C environment Passionate about numbers and the ability to use them to tell a story regarding site performance consumer trends and competitive analysis Proactive in analyzing data and customer behavior with willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects Able to work independently and proactively identify issues and raise them to management as well as offer potential solutions Acute attention to detail in producing deliverables while understanding bigpicture objectives and strategy Must be a selfstarter who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fastpaced retail environment Exceptional communication skills both written (email and formal documents) and verbal (meetings and presentations) Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking
