Job Description
| The Database Administrator is responsible for multiple database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases Responsibilities will cover all aspects of database administration including capacity planning and monitoring performance tuning backup and recovery data archival account maintenance and application deployment The position will support both corporate and global manufacturing business applications Basic Qualification Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field 2 years or more of DBA experience with SQL Server andor Oracle Working knowledge of multiple scripting languages (PERL KSH PLSQL etc) Proficiency in industrystandard database tools (TOAD OEM etc) Working knowledge of SAP applications and BASIS server hardware and the Windows operating systems is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of employees Team oriented with the ability to promote the successful advancement of the group High quality analytical skills and the ability to work with limited direction 24x7 oncall support rotation Preferred Qualifications Experience with Six Sigma methodologiesndash Green beltBlack belt a plus |
