| To be successful in this role you should have the skills and experience to perform the following tasks with little supervision Analyze and documents system requirements Maintenance of an existing computer system including error resolution and enhancements to existing systems utilizing Web Development Tools outlined below Perform accurate and independent analysis and diagnosis of error(s) in an efficient manner Document the problem and proposed solution(s) to program specification level perform detail design making recommendation of the most appropriate solution Organize and participate in meetings with user groups and other IT areas Partner with business users to understand scope complexity and impact of issues Generate required test databases conduct and reports on Unit tests System tests Provide support and assistance to user community during User Acceptance testing Generate required test databases conduct and reports on Unit tests System tests Provide accurate and timely analysis of problems identified during testing Provide customers or internal teams with support on technical issues Manage issues in development for software running in our production environment and debug and fix or escalate if needed Develop new applications as well as legacy code running on the platform Develop code based on requirements and program specifications as well as core architecture Troubleshoot programming environment and test code for processing accuracy Create documentation for future reference training and support purposes Provide afterhours support when needed A strong commitment to always provide best in class customer service Minimum Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science MIS or similar technical areas of study or equivalent experience Minimum Requirement of 35 years of experience in application development using IBM i including knowledge with ILE RPGIV CL SQL IBMi DB2 IBMi Apache web server HTML JavaScript jQuery CSS AJAX SQL and XML Web Services developmentdeployment Strong desire for experience with BCD WebSmart andor Nexus Web Portals Ability to regularly exercise independent judgment or initiative to solve technical problems independently Sound knowledge of computer systems and strong computer skills Good communication skills with both technical and nontechnical personnel Organize and participate in meetings with user groups and other IT areas Partner with business users to understand scope complexity and impact of issues Demonstrated proficiency in software development lifecycle problem solving oral and written communication skills teamwork learningonthefly and a strong desire to succeed Ability to pickup and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks Ability to interact with both technical and business users The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize assignments while achieving significant results As a highly motivated professional you will perform as an individual contributor and in a team Experience with a structured large system Programming and Development Optional Qualifications CA2E 4GL (formerly known as Synon) Physical Requirements Constant and close visual work at desk or computer Constant sitting and working at desk Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other business associates by telephone correspondence or in person Frequent lifting of folders files binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs Frequent opening and closing of heavy file drawers Occasional bending and stooping to pick up boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs Frequent walking and standing Occasional driving of automobiles Our company is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity Please no phone calls or emails All resumes submitted by search firms to any employee of our company via email the Internet or in any method without a valid written search agreement will be deemed the sole property of our Company No fee will be paid in the event the candidate is hired by our Company as a result of the referral or through other means |
