| MMIC Health IT provides a full range of technology support for our health care clients Not only are we the Midwest regionrsquos NextGen reseller we also provide support IT outsourcing training development and consulting services to deliver a complete IT solution to our health care clients MMIC Health IT has an exciting opportunity for a NextGen Technical Support Specialist to provide front line support and assistance to all MMIC Health IT clients The NextGen Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for gathering and recording details of service calls providing tier two support and triaging calls to the appropriate internal or external resource for resolution This is a work at home (telecommuting) position Ability to perform after hours work and participate in after hours rotation required Responsibilities Include Provide NextGen tier 2 technical support services to MMIC Health IT clients through remote methods some onsite visits client meetings and ongoing technology documentation Manage NextGen and networkrelated installation and upgrade projects for clients including working in coordination with network consulting team for hardwaresoftware installation and ongoing site support for clients Provide consultation to NextGen clients on system technical architecture Work with clients to assess plan maintain implement and analyze their NextGen environment Participate in developing improving and executing quality technical support offerings including Managed IT Services Supports the automation center (notificationpatchupdate) and support components of Managed IT Services Responsible for remote support of technical issues for Managed IT Services clients and dispatching to network services team as necessary Requirements Two or more yearsrsquo experience supporting electronic practice management and electronic medical record systems including NextGen required Associates degree in information technology related field or equivalent experience required Knowledge of software hardware and hardware configurations gained from three or more yearsrsquo experience required Minimum of three yearsrsquo experience troubleshooting Windows servers and desktops required One year or more experience administering and installing Microsoft SQL Server required One year or more experience with clientserver and thin client environments (Terminal Services Citrix) required This is a high profile position requiring strong customer service and communication skills Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing required Ability to communicate technical information in a nontechnical manner required Excellent human relations skills required including ability to effectively resolve conflicts Ability to perform work on a selfdirected basis and be accountable for outcomes required Excellent time and work organization skills required A+ MCSE andor MCP certification preferred NextGen certification a plus A positive cando attitude and ownership spirit with ability to have fun while all the time meeting the needs of the business are necessary traits for this individual to be successful in this role MMIC was named one of the Top Workplaces in the Twin Cities metro area for 2010 and 2011 according to an employeebased survey project from the Star Tribune MMIC offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits including medical insurance and vision plan and companypaid long term care LTD and dental insurance for employees 401(k) with a match pension paid time off program and tuition assistance Visit our website at wwwmmicgroupcom httpwwwmmicgroupcom Equal Opportunity Employer MMIC is the largest policyholderowned medical liability insurance company in the Midwest We serve the entire health care community including small practices hospitals outpatient and longterm care facilities We are always thinking ahead to find new and better ways to protect clients through risk financing improving patient safety physician wellbeing and reducing risks associated with information technology We provide peace of mind so clients can focus on delivering health care in an era of health care reform increasing regulations and a growing patient base MMIC is headquartered in Minneapolis |
