Job Description
| This position is responsibility for performing primary and second level support activities including fixing bugs and bombs routine maintenance ongoing business modifications and small requests for system developments Participates in implementation rollouts and enhancement projects Independently answers user questions Resolves complex issues independently Support work includes problem analysis solution and prevention programming configuration testing and documentation and data integration Maintenance assignments can include updating enhancing andor streamlining the technical functions of the system including data or system cleanup program tuning or standardizing processes Participates in application lifecycle upgrade projects System developments includes defining requirements for system modification via user interviews and research writing specifications to meet requirements by matching functionality with business needs technical design configuration testing and documentation Contributes to business process design May develop training and train end users Position works with other IST technical teams for activities such as identification and selection of technical alternatives security design and external data processes May also work with third party vendors Position uses vendor documentation Arkema documentation vendor help services and internal and external resources to learn and understand system capabilities Position may work with various SAP tools to deliver functionality including IMGConfiguration ABAP IDOC ALV LSMW etc as well as PC office tools and specific application reporting and customization tools Position works independently on some assignments and under direction on larger more complex programs or application developments Position works directly with users to define needs for minor system enhancements and with a project lead or manager for enhancements with significant business requirements andor integrated business process definition and designs Position will participate in detail requirements gathering analysis of systems issues and definition of alternatives Position may require expert assistance in process design analysis of alternatives and risk assessment Position is expected to share business technical and professional knowledge and facilitate teamwork with customers and peers KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES College Degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 4 6 years experience in various technical aspects of business systems and applications Proficiency in SAP EHS or other SAP modules or EHS applications preferred Ability to progressively build technicalbusinessprofessional knowledge Effective communication customer service and problem solving skills Ability to effectively interact within team and with all levels of users in the business and staff departments Desire and ability to share advanced technical knowledge Ability to lead presentations and conduct training sessions Demonstrated understanding of how own actions impact the company as a business Demonstrated strong problem solving skills |
