| Our South Norwalk Ct based branding communications agency combines creative thinking and smart design We provide our clients with a full suite of awardwinning creative and marketing services that allow us to effectively position products craft new brand personalities and build integrated 360ordm marketing campaigns Because the website is the hub for all branding and marketing activities we have become a web development agency as well We have created sophisticated real estate websites with custom CMSs that help manage and market a database of 10000+ apartment listings We have built numerous ecommerce websites and have created minisites and blogs as part of promotional campaigns We also provide hosting for many of our clients We are seeking a wellrounded Web Programmer with strong innovative talents and a selfdirected work style to augment our creative team This individual will be responsible for all coding hosting and also provide technical assistance in new business pitches and proposal writing We may utilize other subcontractors from time to time which this individual would oversee The ideal candidate will be able to manage a variety of projects have excellent presentation skills and be able to help grow our web development department The ideal candidate will have both frontend and backend development skills This is not a full time position however it could evolve to that The candidate will work from home and be able to attend meeting at our offices as well as our clientsrsquo in NYC and Connecticut For this reason location is critical Performance will be evaluated based on productivity deductive reasoning skills effectiveness of the application produced error free software code that conforms with existing application standards and professionalism in working with others including communication skills timeliness and keeping commitments on multiple projects RESPONSIBILITIES Develop or manage existing frontend website applications using GUI design and desired Application functionality Take Photoshop or illustrator files from design team and build HTML files Setup and maintain hosting environment for development and launch Develop backend CMS solutions depending on needs custom or off the shelf Coordinate with Project Manager throughout build Utilize normalization for database design Test application thoroughly so it is ready for production Write standardsoriented and maintainable code Provide clean consistent documentation Develop SEO friendly code Develop responsive and mobile friendly code Attend new business meetings to provide technical knowledge and create confidence in our firmrsquos abilities SKILLS HTML5 (best practices SEO semantic use of tags newest features browser support) JavaScript jQuery CSS (best practices newest features browser support) Version control (SVN andor Git) Saas Ecommerce (ie Big Commerce) Full LAMP stack including config database design RESTFul web services (API integration) Social media integrations and Facebook Markup MVC Frameworks Multiple CMSs (ie Wordpress) Photoshop (basic skills) Flash actionscript SFTP Familiarity with hosting environments and setup (DNS SSH etc) Familiarity with NET a plus Familiarity with app development a plus College or graduate degree in computer science digital media or related field Creative selfstarter team player must be able to work independently provide guidance and know when to ask for direction Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and carry projects through to completion Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical staff and other resources |
