Job Description
| This person is responsible for web and AS400 application development including reviewing testing modifying debugging and documenting new and existing systems This person is also knowledgeable of Caterpillar DBS and web application file structure and is capable of efficiently extracting data into reports that satisfy a users needs Along with programming and development responsibilities this person is also responsible for AS400 operations including the DBS system and communications through the CAT network This employee will be available on a 247 basis to provide emergency support to respond to error conditions or to perform critical system backups that cannot be performed during the regular workday This person will be proficient in the use of data warehousing tools The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis 1) Demonstrate alignment with the companys mission and core business values 2) Collaborate with key internalexternal resources and 3) Practice ongoing selfdevelopment RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Support the business intelligence and reporting demands of the company using tools such as AS400 Query SQL and RPG 2 Full life cycle development of business applications including intranet and Internet 3 Analyze review and modify existing applications including coding testing debugging and documenting programs 4 Collaborate with team members regularly to reach the goals set by the team QUALIFICATIONS 1 Bachelors degree andor equivalent experience with a minimum of 35 years progressive experience in information technology 2 AS400 Query and RPG programming experience required 3 Strong understanding of relational database design and query with the ability to apply these skills throughout varied platforms 4 An understanding of web development tools and platforms such as HTML CSS andor JavaScript a plus 5 Selfreliant and capable of independent work 6 Strong problemsolving and communication skills 7 Strong organizational and time management skills Interested candidates please apply online at wwwfoleyinccom Foley Incorporated is an Equal Opportunity Employer |
