Job Description
| The candidate will work in local team of UNIX and Windows engineers within TIS (technology infrastructure services) that is part of a global team of core infrastructure engineers with presence in various time zones working with various SUN HP Dell and IBM server models The incumbent will engineer and provide 3rd line support for the Windows server platforms including Windows 2003 2008 and 2012 versions Coordinate with the engineering team members for UNIX Windows Databases Storage and Platform in different regions Take ownership of defined server components engineer a solution and deliver a package for the operating system layer Support testing of standard server configurations and its integration with more than 80 software components Create standard specifications and test cases derived from a requirements list Provide 3rd level product support covering all regions business units and branch offices Provide a consulting service for client projects Provide required componentplatform documentation and release notes Provide solutions to Credit Suisse compliance items in MS Windows area Work with vendors to resolve complex platform faults and manage delivery of solution to customers Engineer components of a Windows 2008 and 2012 server build Coordinate with the engineering team members for UNIX Windows Databases Storage and Platform in different regions Take ownership of defined server components engineer a solution and deliver a package for the operating system layer Support testing of standard server configurations and its integration with more than 80 software components Create standard specifications and test cases derived from a requirements list Provide 3rd level product support covering all regions business units and branch offices Provide a consulting service for client projects Provide required componentplatform documentation and release notes Provide solutions to Credit Suisse compliance items in MS Windows area Work with vendors to resolve complex platform faults and manage delivery of solution to customers Required Extensive scripting experience with VBScript Understanding of XML definitions and use in scripting Deep understanding of Windows Server 2008 and experience with Server 2012 Experience in using SharePoint to manage a documentation library including presenting dynamically updated data Proven ability to run organize large scale projects Desirable Microsoft Certification (MCSE MCSA etc) C++ C or VB programming experience qualifications Bachelor039s degree (4 year or equivalent) in related field (Computer Science MIS CIS) preferred |
