| For more than 50 years BioRad has been at the center of scientific discovery providing a broad range of innovative tools and services for clinical diagnostics and life science research The company is renowned among hospitals universities major research institutions biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical firms for its commitment to quality and customer service At BioRad you will participate in exciting new developments at the cutting edge of science and technology If you want to join a company of great minds doing extraordinary things then BioRad is the place for you The SAP Basis Administrator is part of an IT and project team whose objective is to keep BioRad SAP systems functioning at optimal performance availability and efficiency Position Responsibilities The Basis Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties Installation configuration maintenance and support of multiple SAP landscapes and 3rd party tools Oncall rotation to ensure 247 operations of these critical systems Promoting application and system code within the SAP landscapes and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements such as segregation of duties Creating documentation for and instructing Operations staff on the SAP environment and management and operating procedures Automating administrative and operational functions to aid in daytoday system support activities Technical consulting support for SAP implementation project teams or subteams Provide seniorlevel technical handson support for project and production support issues Provide daytoday SAP Oracle and Infrastructure support including best practice procedures for SAP Oracle administration Perform troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues that impact system performance or availability Review current index usage and recommend rebuilds and possible redesigns for performance Perform system refreshes for QA development and training systems Experience Required Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field Minimum 10 years IT experience Minimum 8 years SAP Basis experience with ECC EWM APO BW GTS and Enterprise PortalMinimum 6 years experience with Linux andor Unix Operating Systems and Oracle databases Experience with application administration and operational control for support and maintenance and implementation projects Experience with large databases (1 TB) Experience upgrading Oracle and application of SAP Oracle patches Experience with SAP Oracle database layout and disaster and recovery Experience with application and infrastructure change management in a regulated environment Experience with project documentation Experience working in a large global corporation Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX FDA etc) and adhering to compliance controls SKILLS Strong technical skills in application installations upgrades system copy performance tuning access control language support patch installation backup and recovery Logical Oracle DBA skills Detailed knowledge of application support for security audits and certifications Knowledge of technical infrastructure networking operating systems and high availability Knowledge of hardware capacity planning Oracle performance tuning Application performance monitoring Effective communication and interpersonal skills |
