Description of duties and responsibilities This position reports to the Manager Communications Technology Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Responsible for monitoring testing and troubleshooting the MSA Global Network local area networks and Internet systems Configures and supports firewalls and related security applications Supports and maintains LAN Wireless LAN and WAN hardware and software Provide tier 2 network support to users Understanding proven troubleshooting skills of the TCPIP protocol especially in the areas of DNS EIGRP BGP Routing SMTP VOIP Ethernet VLANS Experience with Cisco operating system and configurations to ensure efficient network traffic handling for TCPIP networks both within the MSA network and in communications to the Internet Provide troubleshooting assistance to all LAN administrators connected to the MSA network Collects analyzes and reports network statistics as well as maintaining documentation of network configurations Provide support for all Internet connectivity issues with the MSA network Coordinate events with the telephone andor network service providers for both new service implementation as well as problem resolution Troubleshoot firewall issues between all MSA facilities and the Internet to ensure reliable application connectivity for MSA Associates as well as continued security of the network from unauthorized access Special knowledge skills and abilities required Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills with Cisco Operating Systems Project Management Experience Good communication skills Consistently meets deadlines Drafts clear concise and accurate technical reports Travel as necessary to support MSA locations both Domestically and Internationally Education and experience required High School diploma or its equivalent The Analyst I level requires 2 years Data Networking 1 years Router experience Preferred Bachelorrsquos degree in Information Science Computer Science or related discipline CCNA certification EEO MFDV
