| Information Technology Associate The State University of New York (SUNY) invites applications for a parttime (50) position as Information Technology Associate in the Office of The University Center for Academic and Workforce Development in Albany New York The mission of the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development is to promote the social and economic wellbeing of the academically and economically underserved residents of the State of New York by developing and maintaining quality education and workforce training programs and services through our Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) and Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking (ATTAIN) labs As part of a professional team responsible for deploying maintaining troubleshooting and repairing technology in support of UCAWD institutions programs and personnel onsite and remotely stationed the Information Technology Associate will be responsible for bull Maintaining troubleshooting and repairing data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems including hardwaresoftware and system installation backup maintenance and problem solving and assisting in providing network and remote connectivity hardwaresoftware support bull Establishing and maintaining Windows Server user accounts profiles file sharing access privileges and security monitoring usage to ensure security of data and access privileges and installing supporting and maintaining both physical and virtual network servers and appliances bull Verifying server and device backups and troubleshooting and resolving server and network device problems bull Establishing and maintaining user email accounts managing antispam and antivirus servers and researching and troubleshooting email problems by reviewing mail logs records and network configurations bull Maintaining troubleshooting and repairing of IP telecommunications and video systems equipment and cabling and researching analyzing troubleshooting and resolving related problems bull Maintenance and problem solving of video conference network and sessions and coordinating and assisting in providing network and remote connectivity of environment bull Installing telecommunications equipment and providing support for handsets voicemail and VOIP servers Qualifications Bachelorrsquos degree in related discipline and experience with Microsoft Windows Server and IP networking technology preferably 3 years Must demonstrate workplace initiative and have the ability to function without extensive supervision Experience with H323SIP video conference system deployment and relational database skills and demonstrated experience working on a team to manage projects from inception to implementation are desirable Salary Commensurate with qualifications and experience Excellent benefits Interested candidates are invited to apply online at wwwsunyeduSUPEmployment Please include in your cover letter your availability or schedule preference Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled State University of New York System Administration is an affirmative action equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age race sex color creed national origin religion marital status sexual orientation gender identity veteran or military status disability genetic information predisposition or carrier status criminal conviction domestic violence victim status or retaliation Apply Here httpwwwClick2Applynet6brzt9s |
