| Senior Systems Administrators httpsjobsuiowaedupandsview62002 httpsjobsuiowaedupandsview62002 UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking five additional Senior Windows Systems Administrators to support our rapidly growing environment Under the general direction of a team lead the Systems Administrator will be a member of one of three teams providing Business Clinical or Laboratory Information Systems Administration to UI Health Care Positions will provide server architecture design planning administration installation monitoring upgrades troubleshooting and maintenance for the enterprise server farm Duties include support for server hardware operating systems applications operations updatesupgrades administration attached devices and vendor management in a 7x24x365 mission critical environment The candidate must be willing to keep up with new technology learn new skills and grow understand the importance of balancing the stability and the risk in the systems environment Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends both schedule and unscheduled SALARY RANGE 65000 to 89000 plus a generous fringe benefit package including 22 days paid vacation sick leave health dental life and disability insurance options and generous employer contributions into retirement plans Check out httpsjobsuiowaeduwhy_uiindexphp httpsjobsuiowaeduwhy_uiindexphp for WHY IOWA EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelorrsquos degree in MIS Computer Science or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Typically 57 years of experience in IT infrastructure development 3+ years of experience in a position focused on systems administration of Microsoft SQL IIS and Windows High Availability solutions Technically fluent in server hardware and Windows Server administration version 2003 or later Strong understanding of the principles of customer service Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to new and changing situations Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to effectively document procedures and instructions Excellent communication skills both written and oral and strong interpersonal skills DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Highly Desirable Experience working in a healthcare environment Handson experience with one or more hypervisor technologies Experience with Epic Client Systems Administration Support of SANattached devices and tools such as NAS PowerPath EMC VMAX and VPLEX Desirable Proficient in programming with a scripting language such as PowerShell Demonstrated project management experience Practical experience installing vendor software Practical experience using remote management tools Familiar with system backup technologies Experience with software and operating system patch management Familiar with server hardening methodologies and practical implementation experience Certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Competitive salary and outstanding fringe benefits Applicant credentials subject to verification To apply for this position visit our website at httpjobsuiowaedu httpjobsuiowaedu and search for requisition 62002 The University of Iowa is an equal opportunityaffirmative action employer and strongly encourages women and minorities to applyUniversity of Iowa Health Care is committed to excellence every time caring with our minds hands and hearts |
