| Senior Developers Application Developers Epic Electronic Medical Record Software httpsjobsuiowaedupandsview62180 httpsjobsuiowaedupandsview62180 UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking both experienced Application Developers and Senior Developers (leadership role) to join a team enhancing and supporting Epic electronic medical record software Multiple positions are available supporting clinical software including but not limited to Nursing Pharmacy Health Information Management (HIM) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Reporting Dashboards Primary duties include workflow analysis optimization application build testing and implementation Other responsibilities include monitoring production issues testing special updates and system documentation The ideal candidate will have experience as the primary contact for the support configuration and development of at least one enterprise application experience working with endusers to define system requirements and understand business needs ability to write technical specifications for complex integrated systems and basic project management skills All positions require wearing a pager and proving some 24 x 7 oncall support Salary Range Application Developer (PIA2) is 50000 to commensurate Senior Application Developer (PIA3) is 55954 to commensurate Education Required Bachelorrsquos in Computer Science or MIS or an equivalent combination of education and related application developmentsupport experience Experience Required Experience in the development andor support of applications used by nontechnical customers to support and enhance business processes typically 35 years for Application Developer typically 57 years for Senior Developers that includes technical leadership and experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies Other Requirements Experience working with customers to define system requirements and understand business needs Experience working independently with a strong focus on customer service Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and nontechnical staff Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment Desirable Qualifications Practical experience with electronic medical record clinical or business software Experience working in healthcare or a health business environment Epic EMR certification Competitive salary outstanding fringe benefits Applicable background and credential checks will be conducted To apply visit our website at httpjobsuiowaedu httpjobsuiowaedu and search for Requisition 62180 The University of Iowa is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer and strongly encourages women and minorities to apply |
