| Position Details Purpose Purpose The Senior Analyst of Advanced Analytics will strongly influence the business data decisions of Cox Communications by developing and helping to institutionalize a datadriven analysis culture The Senior Analysts primary role will be to identify highimpact business problems and develop viable solutions through data analysis predictive modeling and advanced analytics techniques The candidate will work closely with teams across the company including other Analytics team members Marketing Business Operations and Engineering We are looking for a Senior Analyst who is incredibly curious inquisitive about analytics who loves data and who desires to make a difference by leveraging the right techniques to arrive at the right answers Our team starts by asking the right questions We then formulate and translate these questions into structured analysis that involves large sets of data We then strive to provide highquality data analytic solutions that will generate a major impact on the Cox Communications business This is a great opportunity to be part of an advanced analytics team that does leadingedge work as part of a great organization Responsibilities Perform largescale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation classification optimization time series etc Build models using standard and advanced statistical techniques such as logistic regression multinomial regression CHAID and clustering analysis Identify actionable insights suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups Work closely with crossfunctional teams to proactively create business rules deploy analytics and manage decisions Handle data preparation data feeds and updates of various projects Prepare written analysis and present findings recommendations and potential raise decision questions to internal and external clients Offer interpretation of analytical findings relative to the business Write queries (SQL SAS) to develop analyses Ensure accuracy of results produced as a result of data analysis Requirements BSMSPhD degree in a quantitative discipline (applied mathematics statistics computer science operations research or related field) from a leading academic institution 3+ years of experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (or equivalent) Experienced user of advanced analytic tools such as SAS SPSS R etc A passion for problemsolving comfort with ambiguity and creativity Demonstrated success presenting complex findings (qualitative and quantitative) in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fastpaced environment and drive change and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals and organizations Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Operations Research Statistics Econometrics Mathematics Knowledge of SPSS and KXEN Experience in the telecommunications industry or other subscriptionbased business Cox Communications and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers We have a tradition of encouraging a wide diversity of talents through a broad range of hiring practices Please note those individuals submitting resumes online or by mailing a resume are not considered an applicant for employment until a signed employment application form is completed usually at the time of interview For more information about Cox Communications and its subsidiaries please click here wwwcoxcom wwwcoxmediacom wwwcoxbusinesscom Statement to ALL Third Party Agencies and Similar Organizations Cox Communications accepts resumes only from agencies with which we formally engage their services Please do not forward resumes to our applicant tracking system Cox Communications employees or send to any Cox Communications facility Cox Communications is not responsible for any fees or charges associated with unsolicited resumes |
