units Plan design develop test coordinate implement support and enhance enterprise applications and technical solutions following defined quality and process guidelines Work with FreeportMcMoRan FreeportMcMoRan customers to define system scope and objectives based on user needs Analyze business and systems needs in terms of functional and technical requirements Identify and evaluate alternative solutions to defined problems and recommend the most appropriate course of action Conduct detailed analysis of defined systems specifications and develop associated design documentation with minimal supervision Select configure integrate and implement packaged software solutions where appropriate with minimal supervision Develop test implement and support custom business applications and automated solutions with minimal supervision Evaluate and modify existing programs to take into account changes in system requirements business requirements equipment configurations or inefficiencies Identify and document procedures for the installation and maintenance of specified business applications Lead in the planning and timing of functional product releases for internally developed or packaged solutions Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems following identified policies and procedures Perform project management duties with minimal supervision Exercise judgment within loosely defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results Develop and maintain effective relationships with external development partners analyze and review specifications both from internal and external sources Lead in the adoption of global FreeportMcMoRan standards and methodologies for software development Act as a positive coachmentor for less experienced staff Perform other duties as required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Administration or closely related field and five (5) years progressive experience in applications development integration and support Extensive knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle Comprehensive experience working in technical organizations chartered with the creation and support of mission critical business application environments Expert in skills of communication (verbal and written) and influencepersuasion Expert in skills of teamwork and maturationcommitment Ability to direct safety behaviorspractices in all aspects of work involving self others Expert in skills of self management confidencestress tolerance and or more years of handson experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010 installing configuring troubleshooting and custom development Three (3) or more years of development experience with Microsoft SharePoint including security model server and client object models search user profile service event receivers workflows web services Strong knowledge of SharePoint architectural design Web Parts development server installation management and troubleshooting A thorough understanding of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 design and architecture A thorough understanding of Microsoft ASPNET Windows Server Internet Information Services and other core technologies upon which SharePoint Products and Technologies depend Experience working with both internal and external clients to gather and refine requirements for continuous SharePoint enhancements Experience developing SharePoint solutions using the appropriate tools (ASPnet C WCF SOA etc) Experience participating in the design development customization and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving Collaboration Portals Enterprise Search Enterprise Content Management and Business Process and Forms CriteriaConditions Position is in a busy nonsmoking office located in Phoenix AZ Location requires mobility in an office environment each floor is accessible by an elevator Must be able to frequently sit stand walk see hear and talk Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds Work for hours at a time in front of a computer and keyboard utilizing Microsoft desktop tools Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine outdoor manufacturing or plant environment including hard hat hearing protection safety glasses safety footwear and as
