| Position Quality Assurance Analyst Division Information Technology Information Technology team is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to work on enterprise and web applications You will be working with a team of developers and network engineers and also be involved in client meetings scheduling and project management tasks We value creativity quality of work technical leadership intelligence and an interest to learn Our ideal candidate is flexible and must be skilled in testing multitasking time management organization creating documentation and communication skills Product lifecycle experience is a must including requirements gathering architecture design data modeling product development QA testing processes and procedures deployment and postdeployment support The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with NAR departments and external partners and vendors to determine their application needs and determining the strategy for meeting these needs Acting as an overall technology consultant the Quality Assurance Analyst will help guide our business partners in making sound technology decisions He she will work and mentor junior staff in all phases of application testing cycle Quality Assurance Analyst will define testing types levels and depth of quality assurance testing determine acceptance criteria and estimate duration of testing cycles He she will maintain project documentation Additionally Quality Assurance Analyst will maintain their technical expertise by keeping up with industry trends and news MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT ALLINCLUSIVE) middot Analyze applications and business processes and develop detailed testing plans and scriptsmiddot Conduct QA testing of applications including ongoing bug fix verifications Analyze and report the test results Create documentation to support application testingmiddot Build maintain document and extend regression and automation suitesmiddot Assist developers in quickly investigating problems reported in UAT and production systems and in reproducing the scenariosmiddot Contribute to the integrity of the test plans test cases test data and test environmentsmiddot Open issuedefect reports and record problems in defect tracking softwaremiddot Lead the release management processmiddot Prepare testing estimates for proposed application releasesmiddot Provide feedback on both technical and business issues Research and evaluate solutions middot Develop and maintain functional as well as technical design specifications Meet with users to define project requirements and functionsmiddot Troubleshoot application issues in production research and recommend solutionsmiddot Meet projectrelated deadlinesmiddot Attend training on an ongoing basis to keep skill set and technical expertise currentmiddot Able to manage multiple projectsmiddot Mentor staff and share information to allow for knowledge transfermiddot Travel domestically as necessary to national state and local association conferences QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION EXPERIENCE SKILLS) middot Proven working knowledge of quality assurance and software testing methodologiesmiddot Exposure to source control systems knowledge of performance stress and load testing practices and toolsmiddot Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or JMetermiddot Proficiency building unit testsmiddot Practical knowledge and experience in all phases of test management and release management processes and systemsmiddot Solid understanding of the bug tracking and resolution process Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jiramiddot Knowledge of functional negative regression integration and acceptance testingmiddot Previous experience in diagnosing and resolving complex application and environment issues both in test and in productionmiddot Experience with testing webbased applications across different browsersmiddot Demonstrated experience testing projects in specific programming languages (VB NET Java etc) and webbased projects (familiarity with HTML XML JavaScript CSS PHP etc)middot Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills to help validate verify communicate and resolve systemssoftware application issues through careful testingmiddot Exposure to SQL programming and database technologies (SQL Server or Oracle) Ability to write basic SQL queries is requiredmiddot Familiarity with source control systems like SVN or CVSmiddot Effective written and oral communication skills Must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including software development teams technical support endusers and managementmiddot Proficiency with MS Word Excel PowerPoint Access and Outlookmiddot Effective organization and time management skillsmiddot Ability to work independently Qualified candidates will have a Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science MIS or related field preferred 2+ years of experience with quality assurance and testing of software projects working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies Highly motivated with strong communication analytical and technical skills along with the ability to work both independently and in teams required A minimum of 3 years of handson experience as a Quality Assurance specialist is essential Ideal candidate will be a highly creative and proactive individual with
