| As a major insurance distributer and marketing firm we are looking for candidates who are creative and energetic programmers Wersquore a small shop seeking a web developer who is ready to help take our company as well as our industry to a whole new level In this role you will be responsible for the design development modification and maintenance of webbased solutions This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works with the team lead and fellow IT team members to create and maintain custom applications for internal and external business needs These solutions include FIGrsquos Agency Management System (AMS) intranet applications web applications and SQLOracle databases As a web developer you will also provide solutions to integrate various applications and create efficiencies through business process management Required Qualifications 3 years serverside web programming experience Competent in XHTMLCSS Experience with Visual Studio 2010 with NET 35 or later Programming in ASPNET Classic ASP and C or Visual Basic Expert knowledge of web standards accessibility requirements validation Competent in JavaScript XML Ajax Experience Integrating with 3rdparty software systems Developing cross8208browser and cross8208platform compatible solutions Familiarity with Windows Servers and IIS Knowledge of emerging web technologies Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server and TSQL Knowledge and experience of using content management systems Selfmotivation continuous learning orientation Ability to take a project from prototype to launch Excellent written and oral communication skills Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required Desired Qualifications XSLT MVC PHP LINQ ObjectiveC Version Control (SVNGIT) Oracle PLSQL UXUI Design Sharepoint experience Duties and Responsibilities Create enhance and maintain NET web sites and web applications utilizing C JavaScript Ajax and CSS for internal and external use Create backend to help support these applications using SQL ServerOracle databases Develop applications with clean code perform QA and debug as needed Provide technical support and customer service when needed Utilize upandcoming solutions with 3rd party vendors and integrate into internal and external web applications Work both in isolation and as part of a team with minimal supervision Contribute to documentation (instructional pitch and technical specification) where required Provide technical advice to other team members Participate in efforts to improve quality of web sites and other electronic publications as required Improve existing knowledge and acquire new skills through self8208education research and development FIG provides employees with excellent benefits including medical vision dental life and long term disability paid for by the company and a tiered payment plan for family coverage of benefits Our 401k Plan has a company match of 50 on the 100 up to 6 The company offers a flexible spending plan and a reimbursement of the deductible on the health plan FIG has many company events as a thank you to their hardworking employees with company provided luncheons and social events every month |
