Job Description
| Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience and knowledge of software applications analysis design coding testing and documentation of software POSITION SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES bull Be a key member of a software development team developing and deploying the Biometrics Automated Toolkit (BAT) which is finding increasing use among intelligence data with law enforcement and immigration agencies (eg FBI CIA Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies) bull Perform tasks requiring knowledge of software applications coding and design functions to include software analysis design testing and documentation of software specific to BAT bull Possess a detailed understanding of biometrics functionality and the ability to analyze and evaluate customer requirements and system incident reports bull Provide input to documentation and recommend design changes andor enhancements to the system and bull May be required to interface with the customer MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS bull Bachelors degree from an accredited university in computer science software engineering information systems a physical science engineering or a mathematicsintensive discipline bull Software engineering experience in a defined software development lifecycle bull Demonstrates experience with o C NET 35 or greater o Visual Studio integrated development environment and o agile development (preferably Scrum) bull Possesses a a solid understanding of software design using UML bull Proven ability to work productively in a close team environment bull Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance or interim clearance within two weeks ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS bull Experience o with technical and high level communication with stakeholders including presentations design discussions o designing building software in a DoD environment o building systems that comply with IA controls especially if they have integrated a CDS o designing software for a fairly complex system including a significant amount of new construction with a high bias for work in the net environment o providing technical leadership to a team and o specifying or at least working with interfaces among collaborative systems bull Be detail oriented possess good verbal and written communications skills and be a selfstarter |
