Job Description
| The Programmer Analyst III in this TTUS Information Systems position Performs ongoing support of Ellucian Banner ERP and other software systems Analyzes needs designs develops tests implements and supports applications in support of the business requirements Ensures that vendor supplied upgrades are properly integrated into the finance enterprise systems and applications Participates with others of the programming staff in the teamrsquos oncall rotation adheres to institutional and departmental project management practices and collaborates with team leadership during development projects Establishes and maintains effective work relationships and proficiently and courteously uses communication skills with coworkers customers vendors and supervisors Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to changing work assignments to meet the departmentrsquos mission and purpose Knowledge Skills Abilities Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills Ability to consistently produce exceptional quality work multitask project assignments and adapt to new technologies Experience with object oriented programming methodology Experience with Java Groovy Grails Oracle databases Oracle applications programming software change management and UNIX or LINUX preferred Experience with ASPnet PLSQL SQL Server and C helpful Experience with AgileScrum development methodology desirable Experience with applications supporting finance and budget systems andor Ellucian Banner experience helpful Qualifications Bachelorrsquos degree with coursework in computer science MIS IT or other related area plus three (3) years related fulltime paid experience OR a combination of related education andor experience to equal seven (7) years Applicants for this Security Sensitive II position will be subject to a criminal background check and must pass a drug and alcohol test after a conditional offer of employment has been extended but before employment can be confirmed Application Procedures See additional position information and apply online at httpsjobstexastechedu httpsjobstexastechedu or wwwworkattexastechcom httpwwwworkattexastechcom (search for requisition 87763) The entities of the Texas Tech University System are Equal Opportunity Employers and employ without regard to sex race color national origin religion age disability genetic information status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran or other protected classes Join our Team Texas Tech University offers an attractive benefitsretirement package |
