| Company Overview Lilly is the 10 th largest pharmaceutical company in the world and has been creating medicines that help improve peoples quality of life for more than 135 years Across the globe we are a leader in investing in research and development and we also invest in our employees ndash in competitive salaries training and development and health The pharmaceutical industry is a complex rapidly changing environment and we are looking for highly capable leaders to help us continue bringing innovation to patients If you are interested in being considered for employment at Lilly we encourage you to review the following opportunity Responsibilities LRL IT Informatics group provide Lilly functional teams with advanced applications and analysis support Informatics Intelligence Capabilities group partner with various scientists and business leaders across the company to create and leverage informatics intelligence platform to provide insights and trending analysis that contribute to advance Lillys capability to bring innovation to patients The successful candidate for this role will Design and develop systematic approaches and technologies for open intelligence platform Work with the team from prototype to scaleup system development effort Technical owner of the intelligence platform responsible to overall system design implementation enhancements and transition to IT support if deem necessary Work with COE team to maintain the suitability and stability of foundational intelligence platform Work with team leader implement the new opensource intelligence package based on business needs Basic Qualifications Master in Computer Science or Software System or equivalent fields Must have experience in Java C and Perl 7+ year industrial experiences and 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries Hands on experience in various design patterns frameworks and architecture such as MVC Struts JSF and SOA Experienced in Lexicon analysis UMLS Ontology alignment algorithm programming Familiar with competitor pipeline database and data structure Demonstrated experience in developing automatic web scraping capability Experienced in semantic technologies (RDFOWL) inference engine SPARQL Highly motivated and demonstrated strong problem solving skills Demonstrated excellent oral and writing communication skills Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (eg H1B or TN status) for this employment position Additional SkillsPreferences Experience with workflow automation tools such as KNIME or Pipeline Pilots are desired Experience with Biomedical Databases Tools APIs Experience in using Denodo and Anzo are desired |
