| Role Overview The BlueSteps Technical Project Manager is responsible for technical project management systems administration and data management for BlueSteps Responsibilities include understanding business requirements to architect technology solutions planning and executing regular software releases managing a small development team providing firstline technical support to the operations marketing and customer service teams administering databases and managing the relationship with a managed hosting company The BlueSteps Technical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of BlueSteps as a technology product The right person for this role will have broad technology experience be a wellorganized project manager with strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills The role will require creativity as well as execution business sense alongside technical knowhow and attention to detail as well as an ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment About BlueSteps BlueStepscom is an online career management service and growing social network for top executives In addition to raising an executives visibility with executive search consultants (executive recruiters) BlueSteps offers a suite of proactive career management tools including an online search firm directory complimentary consultations with career coaches and resume writers and listings of active positionssearches being handled by AESC member firms BlueSteps has over 70000 members around the world About the AESC The Association of Executive Search Consultants is a global association for retained executive search consulting firms with over 300 members in 75 countries Headquartered in New York City the AESC owns and operates BlueSteps Role Responsibilities Help translate business needs define and implement technology solutions for the BlueSteps platform Assist in the feature scoping and planning process for all product enhancements Manage development priorities workflow and deadlines for offshore software developers Manage regularly scheduled software releases Plan for and manage additional standalone releases and migrations Provide firstline support to Operations Customer Service and Marketing staff Data management of large customer and resume databases Oversee codebase and webapplication servers Oversee development staging and production environments Requirements At least 5 years combined experience as both 1 A technical leadproject manager (minimum 2 years) 2 A programmer working with ASPNET and SQL (minimum 2 years) Experience with Microsoft Windows IIS web servers Experience with Visual Studio C and JavaScriptjQuery Some data management experience preferred The successful candidate will be highly driven and selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously Organization and strong project management skills will be key to success The ability to communicate with both nontechnical staff and fulltime software developers will be critical Computer science degree preferred Salary Benefits Salary from 8000090000 based on relevant work experience and skill set Potential for annual bonus and fast track career opportunity for the right candidate The AESC offers a fun and collaborative work environment with an extensive benefits package including generous paid time off health and dental benefits life insurance and long term disability policies 401k summer Fridays and more To apply for this position please send your resume and a cover letter explaining why you believe your skills and experience are a fit for the job Both documents should be in Word or PDF format and your cover letter should indicate specific salary requirements |
