| Service Delivery Manager It starts with great chemistry Whatever youre looking for in a career youll find it at Univar from challenges to opportunity to growth As North Americas leading chemical distributor we offer a wide range of career options personal and professional growth and an atmosphere where people enjoy working together We invite you to join our team as a Service Delivery Manager in our Redmond Corporate office Summary of Role The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the provision of high quality IT infrastructure services to all the end users of Univar in North and South America These services will be founded on a multisourced data centre and hosting strategy leveraging fully managed colocated and cloudinfrastructure as a service providers As such this role requires the development of strong relationships with and ongoing management of incumbent and potential vendors of products and services The Service Delivery Manager will stay abreast of best practice methodologies for IT service delivery and also of current and emerging technology trends The underlying infrastructure must be reliable resilient and flexible to changes in demand to fully support Univars business growth The Service Delivery Manager will establish effective communication with the whole BIS department Project teams and the broader business to raise awareness of the differing service capabilities their associated costs and service levels Primary Responsibilities Management of selected suppliers critical to Service Delivery globally (currently including but not restricted to IBM Savvis and Microsoft) Management of budget for Infrastructure Service provision within the Americas Management of a multidisciplined technical team required to sustain infrastructure services Collaborate with Service Delivery Manager EMEA to ensure best practice services are consistently delivered across Univar globally Ensure that all Univar processes for incident change and problem management are fully followed by own team and third party infrastructure providers Development of a Service Catalogue for hosting and other technology services Measure monitor and improve compliance with Service Levels Follow structured process for problem management to ensure timely resolution Analysis of trends to identify and eradicate recurring problems Work closely with the Business Applications and Management Information global service towers to anticipate their future demands for technology services Stay abreast of best practices in IT service methodology in order to continually improve Univars processes Actively participate in IT and business strategy development to ensure that the IT services deployed enhance the business and its growth Perform elements of Project Management when requiredrequested To include generation of status reports activities and timescales Cultivate effective relationships with technology vendors critical to Univar infrastructure Stay abreast of changes in technology including emerging technologies in particular those that relate to hosting services Experience Adept at working in and driving change in a fast paced changing environment Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to manage complex contracts Talent for analyzing and communicating alternatives risks and benefits with the goal of reaching decisions or resolving problems Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment Highly effective oral and written communication skills Extensive experience of managing third party vendors particularly hosting providers Experience of working in a multinational environment Experience of broad security practices (policies audit risk assessment) Experience of Disaster Recovery process testing and recovery Excellent knowledge of best practice methodologies in service provision primarily ITIL Knowledge of a variety of operating systems and hardware platforms Including Linux Windows Server Operating Systems Dell Poweredge HP Proliant IBM xSeries Blade Servers LINUX VMWare Citrix Knowledge of a variety of networking technologies and protocols such as Firewalls Proxy Servers TCPIP SMTP FTP HTTPHTTPS and others We offer competitive salaries excellent benefits and a great working environment Please email your resume to UnivarJobs25univarusacom Visit our website at wwwunivarcom Equal Opportunity Employer |
