| The Embedded Systems HWSW Engineer at Midtronics in Willowbrook IL will design and develop stateofthe art products in an environment that encourages learning creative thinking and new ideas This position will be responsible for new product development for battery testing and charging equipment This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has solid hardware design skills to develop high performance high quality battery and charging equipment Responsibilities Develop cost estimates and actual cost Develop and support HW Develop and support software including systemlevel and driverlevel SW Createmaintain HWSW design standards Investigatetroubleshoot HW failures for Service returns Production failures that pass our existing fixtures Create HW test plans as required and review test data Perform HW analysis and create reports Create reports for feedback of HW issues to new designs Create SWtest SW as necessary for HW validation Generate engineering documents specifications schematics BOM validation reports schedules etc Work closely with quality and manufacturing departments Follow established procedures and best practices Lead team for automotive products Qualifications Bachelorrsquos Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Expertise in design analysis and testing of microcontroller operated digital and analog electronics Minimum of 5+ years experience in a product development role in Embedded system design Digital circuit design Analog circuit design Serial parallel communication Basic experience in PCB design fabrication and assembly processes a plus CC++ programming environment Team leadership experience Strong working knowledge of developing embedded software for embedded processors such as ARM PIC Freescale and Renesas Prefer experience in developing for industrial andor automotive testing equipment Experience with the following communication protocols a plus Cellular communication Zigbee Wifi USB Ethernet Bluetooth Prefer experience with regulating agencies such as FCC CE UL etc Crains Chicago Business ranks Midtronics 4 on the Top 25 most innovative companies in the Chicago area due to the value and quality of Midtronics patents a solid demonstration of our ongoing commitment to advancing battery management |
