| Oomph is looking to grow its firstclass web and mobile development team and is seeking to hire a fulltime PHP MySQL Developer with an interest in working with Drupal and WordPress open source platforms Qualifications It is important to understand that this is a web engineering position not a web design position A successful candidate will be passionate about writing clean organized code with particular emphasis on performance and security They will have a strong knowledge of objectoriented programming third party APIs and open source software Experience building custom PHP and MySQLbased web applications is essential Oomph is willing to provide training and mentoring on WordPress and Drupalspecific platforms where needed While Oomphs engineering team will be on hand to mentor and assist the new developer the right candidate would have a selfstarter attitude with an aptitude for independently researching and implementing solutions The employee must be located in Boston Providence or surrounding areas Responsibilities The developer will support a wide variety of programming projects many of which use WordPress or Drupal as the underlying platform Projects will typically focus on developing custom PHP code with MySQL interaction to meet detailed client requirements While the projects will primarily entail serverside programming they will invariably require some level of clientside programming including HTMLCSS and JavaScript The developer will typically be assigned several deadlines over a given period and is expected to effectively manage his or her time to meet those deadlines A wellqualified candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be expected to directly communicate with clients on a daytoday basis as time goes on About Oomph Oomph is a digital agency with offices in Boston and Providence dedicated to realizing firstclass web and mobile experiences Oomph is a responsible green company that offers competitive salaries health benefits a retirement plan with company match casual dress and flexible hours that include limited work from home opportunities |
